We probably love tteokbokki and chicken more than any other snack foods. It can be upsetting when you have to choose just one of the two, or when you end up ordering delivery from different places and paying extra delivery fees. But now there’s a place where you can order tteokbokki and chicken all in one place without worrying about that anymore. I only just found out about this place that sells tteokbokki and chicken together, but it turns out it’s been around for about three years.
One 특징 of the tteokbokki here is that they top it with shredded green onions. I wondered whether tteokbokki and shredded green onions would go well together, but the taste was better than I expected. Maybe it was because it was jjajang tteokbokki.

The combination of regular tteokbokki and shredded green onions was also good. It even comes with flat glass noodles, so anyone who likes tteokbokki would probably be unable to resist it. Personally, when I make it at home, I prefer using rice cakes, but when I buy it ready-made like this, wheat cakes seem much tastier. The moderately spicy tteokbokki kept making me reach for more.

After eating a certain amount, they add shredded cheese to help mellow out some of the spiciness. You can add it when you first order the tteokbokki, but following the owner’s recommendation, I tried adding it in the middle of eating, and it was good.
If you order delivery and there’s some tteokbokki left over, here’s a good idea to take away: when reheating it, add cheese and heat it together.

I think one thing that can’t be left out of tteokbokki is fried snacks. Fried fish cake and fried seaweed rolls are the basics of basics. I really wonder who first thought of fried fish cake, because I don’t think there’s another fried snack that goes so well with tteokbokki. Compared with fried fish cake from other places, this one is thicker, so the outside is chewy and the inside is soft, which was so delicious.

One thing that can’t be left out of snack foods is sundae. It wasn’t as if we were raiding a snack shop or anything, but because we ordered one of everything, we ended up ordering this many different items. But then again, these are the kinds of menu items that would feel disappointing later if you didn’t eat them, so it’s hard not to order them.

If it’s a tteokbokki place, it usually only sells tteokbokki. If it’s a chicken place, it usually only sells chicken. But this place is somewhere you can eat tteokbokki and chicken at the same time. If I’m craving chicken more than tteokbokki today, but the friend I’m with wants tteokbokki, there’s no need to 고민. It’s a place where each person can eat the menu they want.
When I saw the glossy sauced chicken, my hand reached for it right away, almost as if I hadn’t eaten tteokbokki at all. Since they also fry other items in the same oil as the chicken, I could taste something oddly spicy in the fried fish cake and fried seaweed rolls—but that turned out to be because the chicken had been seasoned in advance for the chicken dish.

I think it’s a really great idea to serve chicken and tteokbokki together in one place.
