I Received a Honeymoon Gift from Kota Kinabalu. feat. Surgery Room Team Leader :)

October is one of the busiest seasons for weddings. One of our Aho Plastic Surgery staff members also became a bride in October.

After such a beautiful wedding, she went on her honeymoon to warm Kota Kinabalu. With the weather suddenly turning very cold, I was jealous of our surgery room team leader going on a honeymoon, but I was even more jealous thinking about how she got to enjoy warm weather. After finishing such an enjoyable honeymoon and coming in to work, she brought back a bunch of gifts for the Aho staff. Receiving such an unexpected gift made me so happy.

Thanks to the thoughtfully prepared set of gifts, we were able to start the day feeling good. (There are only three of each item, but she actually bought them according to the number of staff members. I just took a photo of gifts for three people together.)

The first gift was tiramisu chocolate, which I opened and ate right away. One of the items that always makes it onto the shopping list in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, is chocolate, and she picked tiramisu chocolate as her top choice. Personally, I really like sweet chocolate, but there are also people who find it too sweet and don’t enjoy it much. This tiramisu chocolate was the kind that anyone would say is delicious and keep eating.

When you’re working, there are many moments when you crave a sweet snack, and before I knew it, I had already finished them all by taking one out to eat whenever I wanted one. Since they were individually wrapped, they were very convenient to eat. Like fresh chocolate, it melted smoothly and softly in your mouth, and because it had nuts, I thought it tasted better to bite into it rather than just let it melt. Thank you so much for going on your honeymoon and still thinking of the staff and bringing us gifts.

The tiramisu chocolate wasn’t all. There was also Kota Kinabalu Sabah Teh Tarik milk tea. This is the famous Sabah Traditional Teh Tarik that everyone who knows about it says must be on the Kota Kinabalu souvenir list. The package also included instructions on how to enjoy the Sabah Teh Tarik milk tea. You can mix it with hot water or milk. It says to add one packet to 200 ml, but depending on your preference, you could add a little more.

On a cold day like these, if you make a cup of milk tea while working, wouldn’t this feel like a café?

The third gift from the Kota Kinabalu honeymoon.

It is nasi goreng. This is a powder that lets you make Southeast Asian-style fried rice, the kind eaten in Indonesia and Singapore. It looks like an AYAM seasoning powder that lets you make chicken nasi goreng fried rice.

They say that after making the fried rice we already know, if you add this nasi goreng powder without further seasoning, you can enjoy an exotic flavor. I should make it deliciously at home and try to feel like I’m on a trip.
