These days, whatever you eat can end up feeling like a burden. Among them, pork is something I really want to enjoy, but the price is so high that even when I go to a samgyeopsal restaurant, I end up filling up on rice and naengmyeon instead of actually eating my fill of pork belly. So, to avoid that kind of disappointment, I’d like to introduce a budget-friendly all-you-can-eat meat restaurant. Like the saying “following a friend to Gangnam,” I ended up visiting a decent all-you-can-eat place near Nonhyeon Station.
The all-you-can-eat meat restaurant I’m introducing today is Hwarosanghoe Gangnam Nonhyeon Branch. Since it says it’s a branch, it seems to be a chain. I’ve only been to this location, so I don’t know how the others are, but if it’s a chain, they should be similar, so I think it must be good.

Hwarosanghoe, the all-you-can-eat meat restaurant, is a place with excellent value at KRW 16,900 per person. Maybe that’s why you have to use the self-serve bar from the very first table setting. But it’s not inconvenient at all.
You can take the vegetables and sauces you want to your taste. Lettuce, pickled radish, kimchi, chili peppers, garlic, corn, rice cakes, green onion salad, and sauces such as ssamjang, sweet sauce, spicy sauce, and even soybean powder are all prepared so you can enjoy the pork rinds. For reference, Hwarosanghoe provides rice for free, so you can serve yourself through the self-serve bar and eat it. There are people who always have to eat rice with meat, right? It seems perfect for them.

At last, the ordered dishes arrived. First, I ordered Maksam-i, which is a menu that comes with samgyeopsal and pork intestines. Whenever I go to Hwarosanghoe, this is always the first thing I order. The reason is that the intestines need to be cooked until crispy, so I order them first and let them crisp up on the side. Since everything is grilled over binchotan charcoal, the parts without charcoal inevitably have weaker heat. That’s why it’s good to order items like pork rinds or intestines, which take longer to cook, and let them cook on the side after ordering.

When the samgyeopsal seemed to be cooked enough, I flipped it over. The moment I flipped it, the beautiful color you can only see when grilling over charcoal appeared. From that point on, I lost all reason and focused only on eating, so the photos...
After ordering Maksam-i, I ordered Dwaesam-i, which only comes with binchotan-grilled whole pork belly. Then I ordered Samkeop-i, a set of samgyeopsal and pork rinds, and finally Dwaegal-i, which comes with seasoned ribs and pork neck.
Honestly, I could have eaten more, but the two-hour limit was up, so sadly I had to get up.

At Hwarosanghoe, the all-you-can-eat meat restaurant, it’s not just pork belly, intestines, pork rinds, and seasoned ribs. They also have charcoal-grilled dakgalbi. I’ve been to Hwarosanghoe a few times, but I don’t মনে think I’ve ever ordered the dakgalbi. Next time I go, I should try it once.
As you’d expect from a meat restaurant, they also have water, bibim naengmyeon, and whole-potato doenjang jjigae. The doenjang jjigae goes well with rice, and the naengmyeon would be the perfect pairing with seasoned ribs!!
