Hello. This is EHareun Iho Plastic Surgery again.
Today,
after eye plastic surgery~
focused on care and precautions by recovery stage,
we’ve put together the postoperative care methods and beauty care tips shared by Director Park Byeong-ho, a specialist at Iho Plastic Surgery,
where beauty begins!
Because the skin around the eyes is sensitive and recovery speed varies from person to person,
stage-by-stage care suited to the situation is especially important~
let’s look at the care methods together~!
Complete Guide to Post-Double Eyelid Surgery Care!!
When can I wear makeup after double eyelid surgery?!
How do I manage swelling, bruising, and scars??
[ How to manage swelling, scars, and dryness after eye plastic surgery ]

Immediately after surgery (1–2 weeks): minimize irritation & focus on cold compresses

Eye health & beauty care after surgery
-
Do not use makeup or beauty products around the eyes before or after stitch removal!!
-
Use a cold compress pack to help reduce swelling.
-
If your eyes feel dry, using artificial tears frequently, in addition to any eye drops prescribed by the medical staff, can be helpful.
-
If needed, a soft-textured eye ointment can help relieve dryness before bed.
TIP
Because the surgical area is still sensitive,
when washing your face, gently cleanse with lukewarm water without rubbing hard.
Recovery period (after 3–4 weeks): use eye cream and ointment

Sensitive eye care and moisturization
-
Once the skin begins to stabilize, scar ointment can be used.
-
Eye cream, eye patches, and moisturizing products are also recommended from this stage onward.
However, the timing may vary depending on individual recovery speed,
so it is safest to start after the medical staff’s assessment.
- Eye makeup is possible only after at least 3–4 weeks, and it is best to use non-irritating products.

When your eyes feel dry, we recommend using artificial tears and eye ointment frequently, both day and night.
Sunscreen protection

Sunscreen protection is essential even indoors!!
UV rays can cause pigmentation in skin that is recovering.
- Choose a sunscreen with SPF 50 or higher.

-
Since UV rays can also enter indoors, it is important to make sunscreen a consistent habit both indoors and outdoors.
-
When going out, wearing sunglasses to protect the eye area is even better.
How to manage swelling

Reducing swelling & a natural beauty routine
-
Immediately after surgery (within 1 week), use a cold compress pack; after that, use a lukewarm warm compress to help circulation.
-
It is safest to avoid massage devices or rollers around the eyes, as they may cause irritation.
-
If bruising remains during recovery, lightly covering it with concealer or powder is fine.
A word from the director!
More important than special products
is the right timing and method.
It is safest to receive guidance on care methods that match the patient’s condition.

After eye plastic surgery, the key is not a specific product, but a care routine matched to the timing of skin recovery!

Because recovery speed and skin condition vary from person to person,
it is best to consult a specialist thoroughly at the appropriate time and proceed with customized care!
