From the Representative Director of Garnet Plastic Surgery
Doctor's Note

Hello^^ I am a board-certified plastic surgeon and the representative director of Garnet Plastic Surgery, Baek In-su.
Today, I would like to introduce a case of a patient who underwent silicone-free rhinoplasty for a crooked nose.
I will also explain the points to keep in mind when performing silicone-free rhinoplasty for a crooked nose, so if this is of interest to you, please read to the end🙌

Reason for Surgery
Usually, people who want rhinoplasty often do not notice
even slight facial asymmetry or a crooked nose.
However, if these issues are not properly corrected after surgery,
the asymmetry can become more noticeable, which may lead to dissatisfaction after surgery.
Preoperative Diagnosis

From the front, the nose appears somewhat upturned, and the line descending from the nasal bone to the tip is twisted to one side.
From below, the left and right nostrils are different, and the columella is bent to one side.
From the side and at a 45-degree angle, the nose is short and the nasal line does not look feminine.
Surgical Procedure

The surgery was performed in the same way as a typical silicone-free rhinoplasty,
but the deviated septum was corrected through septoplasty,
and the alar cartilage was repositioned to improve nostril asymmetry.
The crooked bridge area was addressed with spreader grafting.
Because silicone-free rhinoplasty does not use a silicone implant to cover the bridge, a more careful corrective procedure for a crooked nose is needed.
Postoperative Progress

From the front, you can see that the crooked areas have improved, and the issue of the nose being upturned with visible nostrils has been resolved.
From the side and at 45 degrees, the short nose has been corrected, creating a more extended line from the bridge to the tip, resulting in a more feminine side profile.
From below, the nostril asymmetry has also been corrected.
Wrapping Up..

Today, we looked at cases of patients with a crooked nose among those who want silicone-free rhinoplasty.
When performing surgery on a crooked nose without using an implant, a variety of surgical methods are needed to correct the entire nasal structure.
I hope today's content was helpful for those considering silicone-free rhinoplasty.
Thank you ^^
