Recently, cosmetic procedures involving Hollywood actors have reportedly become a hot topic.
Due to articles with sensational headlines such as “even fat grafting from dead people....” many people are said to be curious about this cosmetic procedure.

'What is Renuva?'
Renuva is a product used to restore volume in the face, hands, and body, and can be described as a product made from donated fat from another person (the adipose allograft).

Renuva contains the extracellular matrix, which helps restore volume in the human body, while removing the cellular components of fat.
It is promoted as containing beneficial components such as collagen, proteins, and growth factors that can naturally fill in sunken areas of the body.

Allograft Adipose Matrix
At first glance, you might think of treatments similar to Renuva, such as fillers and collagen boosters,
but fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, and collagen boosters that generate collagen are made of PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid), so they can be said to be completely different ingredients from Renuva.
Renuva may seem like a very good treatment when you read the manufacturer’s promotional materials or newspaper articles, but since it is made from components extracted from another person’s fat cells, various chemical treatments are inevitably required.

So, allergic reactions to the product or foreign-body reactions appear to occur occasionally, though rarely.
Renuva has not yet received approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in Korea, so it cannot be performed officially.
It was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2021 and is being performed in the United States and Dubai.
Currently, it is said that the procedure cannot be received anywhere except in these two countries.
'Stem Cell Fat Grafting Using Autologous Fat'
Since Renuva is a procedure that implants a product made from another person’s fat, questions may arise about its safety. If a similar procedure can be done using one’s own fat, it could be the safest option.
Stem cell fat grafting starts with the same harvesting process as ordinary fat grafting.

The difference between stem cell fat grafting and general fat grafting is that a special processing step is required.
To activate the stem cell components in the harvested fat, a special kit called the Adinizer smart kit is needed.

When the harvested fat is finely processed through the Adinizer kit, you can obtain stem cell components and finely processed cellular matrix (micronized cellular adipose matrix).

The stem cell fat used for grafting has a soft, fine texture like filler, and can be grafted naturally into areas that need volume. It can also be used together with general fat grafting to improve fat cell survival.
In addition, activated stem cell components (functional stem cells) may also help skin regeneration.
