Hello. This is Dana Plastic Surgery.
Many women experience various situations after childbirth, and
they are exhausted and stressed from childcare.
What makes them even more tired and stressed than childcare after childbirth is
postpartum hair loss.
Today, we will take some time to talk with Director Park Jae-hyun about
postpartum hair loss and postpartum hair loss treatment.

Many women will experience hair loss after childbirth.
People in this situation will be stressed and have many concerns.
Should they have surgery? How should it be treated?
How long should they wait for the hair loss symptoms to improve?
Is it okay to just keep waiting? Will it get better if they wait?
It is easy to become even more stressed by countless worries.
Regarding this, Director Park Jae-hyun said:
In general,
we tend to think that hair falls out a lot during pregnancy because all nutrients go to the fetus.
During pregnancy, estrogen increases significantly in the body,
so female hormones rise a lot.
The hair cycle has a longer growth phase,
so for this reason, hair actually does not fall out as easily during pregnancy.
Then after childbirth, hair begins to fall out rapidly.
Usually,
it starts about one or two months after childbirth,
and in some cases, hair loss can last as long as 6 to 12 months.
In most cases,
all of the hair may fall out, but the more common symptom is that the fine hairs in the M-shaped hairline area fall out and
do not recover.
Generally, postpartum hair loss usually recovers naturally within 1 to 2 years.
As hormones return to a normal state again,
many people recover naturally.
There are also statistics showing that about half recover.
If it does not recover naturally,
or if postpartum hair loss is very severe, or hair loss continues even after 1 to 2 years,
more active treatment is needed to prevent it from worsening.
There are various treatment methods for postpartum hair loss, such as injections and laser treatment,
but in general, treatment is not required.
However, if it is very severe and does not recover,
treatment and surgery should be considered.
Lastly,
Director Park Jae-hyun said that if you become too stressed about postpartum hair loss, it will fall out more and become worse,
so it is best to stay as relaxed and calm as possible,
and to rest and keep stable.

So far, we have taken time with Director Park Jae-hyun to learn about postpartum hair loss.
Postpartum hair loss can recover naturally, and mental stability is the best approach.
However, there are also many people who experience a great deal of stress and depression because postpartum hair loss becomes severe.
If that is the case, do not worry any longer, and please visit Dana Plastic Surgery
and consider treatment or surgery through an accurate diagnosis.
