Checklist by Progress After Hair Transplant Surgery (Including the Shedding Phase)

Hello.
This is Dana Plastic Surgery.
After hair transplant surgery,
one of the things many people are curious and worried about
is the so-called shedding phase.
In this session,
with Dr. Park Jae-hyun,
we will take a look at the checklist by progress after hair transplant surgery (including the shedding phase).

✔ The shedding phase can begin as early as 7 days after transplantation
After hair transplant surgery,
as early as day 7,
the so-called "shedding phase"
can begin.
On average,
up to 5-6 weeks, the transplanted hair
enters a resting phase and falls out.

Although the amount of hair that falls out varies from person to person,
on average, about 70 to 80% of the transplanted hairs will fall out at once.
In very rare cases,
along with the shedding phase,
there are cases where the surrounding hairs also fall out,
but those hairs will also come back up
when the transplanted hairs begin to grow,
so there is no need to worry too much and just wait.

✔ After an average resting phase of 3-4 months, transplanted hairs begin to grow
Usually, after a resting phase of 3-4 months,
new hair begins to grow.
In some cases, it may start growing from as early as 2 months,
but on average it starts from 3-4 months,
and it does not suddenly come in all at once from the beginning;
instead, it continues to improve
up to the 1-year mark.

Sometimes the resting phase
is unusually long compared with other people,
which can make some people anxious,
but the transplanted hairs will all grow,
so please do not worry too much
and wait with a positive mindset.

✔ Hair growth varies by individual, so do not worry and wait
The speed at which hair grows
differs from person to person,
and not everyone follows the same course or speed.
In other words,
hair growth varies by individual,
so please do not worry and wait.
At Dana Plastic Surgery,
we check the final outcome after hair transplant surgery
after 10 months.
It would be good to know
the approximate course of transplanted hair,
and since there are various differences in the course,
you can set aside any major worries.
Even so, if you are still very uncomfortable or anxious,
please do not hesitate
to visit the clinic
and check your progress.
