Hello, this is Dana Plastic Surgery 😊

Today, we’ll take a look at the question: How long do scabs last after hair transplant surgery, and how can they be removed?

First, for about a day after hair transplant surgery, redness may appear in the transplanted area.
This is an unavoidable part of the healing process.
For example, when 1,000 grafts are transplanted, the area is punctured 1,000 times with a needle, which causes redness.

After a day or two, this redness gradually turns darker.
So especially if you had a transplant in the M-shaped hairline or the crown,
after a few days the scabs can blend in among the existing hair and usually become less noticeable.

In fact, when people say, “Why is there less redness when I had surgery at Dana Plastic Surgery?”

it is often because the hair transplant surgery is performed cleanly with very little bleeding, and after surgery
the transplanted area is managed a little more carefully before recovery and discharge, so the scabs are often not severe.

However, depending on the person, exudate may continue to ooze, and there may be situations where more scabs form.

If you try to force off a larger amount of scabbing, the transplanted hairs may come out with it,
and delayed bleeding can also occur, so never try to remove them by force.

Later, when you wash with a fingertip shampoo around day 10, if you soak the area sufficiently and gently remove the scabs, they will come off cleanly.
So you do not need to worry about how long the scabs will continue or whether the area will stay like this.
💥Summary💥

Q. How long do scabs last after surgery?
-
The redness in the transplanted area turns into dark scabs after a day or two.
-
In the case of hairline or crown transplants, after a few days the scabs can hide among the hair and become hard to see.

- There are individual differences, and even if there are many scabs, forcibly removing them can cause the transplanted hairs to fall out or bleeding to occur,
so after about 10 days, when you do a fingertip shampoo, they will naturally come off.
Today, we took a look at how long the scabs that form after hair transplant surgery last and how to remove them.
