Hello, this is Dana Plastic Surgery.
Today, we will take a look at the various shaving methods used for hair transplant surgery.

First is [full shaving].
As the name suggests, this means shaving the entire head.
With full shaving, the surgeon has a wider field of view, and since there is no interference from hair,
the surgery can be performed much more comfortably and quickly.
However, the downside is that the entire head has to be shaved.

Second is [Marine Corps shaving].
Marine Corps shaving is a method in which the lower part of the head is shaved to 1 mm
and the upper part to 9 mm.
In this case, because the hair grows back quickly, it has the cosmetic advantage of easily covering the punch marks from non-incisional procedures.

Because of this advantage, it is a shaving method often chosen by men who keep their hair short.

Third is [partial shaving].
Partial shaving refers to a box-shaped shaved area.
If the center of the head is shaved in a box shape and the top hair is let down,
the shaved area can be covered by the hair, allowing for a more natural appearance even after surgery.

However, to do partial shaving, it is better to keep the hair length long.
For this reason, it can be very advantageous for women’s shaving methods.

Fourth is [two-block cut].
This is one of the styles many men are doing these days,
and it is considered one of the best shaving methods for hiding the fact that a hair transplant surgery was performed.

If you compare the Marine Corps shave and the two-block cut,
they both keep the back of the head short, but the difference is whether the top hair is kept short
or kept long.

Fifth is [strip shaving].
Strip shaving means shaving in the form of lines.

When 600 to 800 or more follicles are harvested in strip form during strip shaving,
it can remain looking similar to an incision scar,
so although it varies from person to person, it is not a desirable shaving method.

Sixth is [no shaving].
No shaving, as the name suggests, is a method in which no shaving is done.
With no shaving, the scars are dispersed, healthy follicles can be selectively harvested, and
because there is no visible sign after surgery, it has the great advantage of allowing you to return to daily life immediately after the procedure.
💥Summary💥

📌Full shaving: shave the entire scalp
