Q. Is scalp micropigmentation permanent?

Yes, it can be considered permanent.

First, the scalp micropigmentation called DMP that we perform at our clinic

can be used permanently when the appropriate pigment is evenly injected at the proper depth of the skin.

However, because fading can occur over time, care is essential

to maintain the effects of scalp micropigmentation for as long as possible.

If exposed to too much ultraviolet light, scalp micropigmentation may fade,

so it is recommended to wear a hat that can physically block it.

In addition, if the epidermis becomes too thick due to seborrheic scalp conditions or other skin diseases,

the tattoo may appear lighter.

It is important to manage scalp skin conditions through appropriate medication.

However, the most important thing is hair loss management. :)

Scalp micropigmentation should be done in areas that still have some volume,

as that can actually create a greater synergistic effect.

If you do not manage hair loss after getting scalp micropigmentation,

the volume in that area may decrease, making the scalp micropigmentation look unnatural,

or you may feel that the effect of the scalp micropigmentation has diminished.

You should receive treatment at a clinic with oral medication or mesotherapy injections,

or otherwise manage it so that hair loss does not worsen.

Q. Will scalp micropigmentation on the crown look unnatural after bleaching?

Even when hair has been bleached, scalp micropigmentation on the crown does not look unnatural.

Many people think that the hair color and the pigment color of scalp micropigmentation must match,

and this question is asked very often even when the hair has turned gray overall.

Based on Dana Plastic Surgery’s experience performing DMP for more than ten years,

scalp micropigmentation does not look unnatural even on bleached hair.

The principle of scalp micropigmentation is

that in areas where hair has become fine or has fallen out completely,

and the scalp shows through more,

a large number of clear dots are placed between the strands to create

the illusion that there is hair, and it also gives the feeling that hair loss has improved

by preventing light from reflecting.

In the case of scalp micropigmentation, since it serves as the background for hair,

you can think of the pigment color as being unrelated to the hair color.

Q. Is it possible to get scalp micropigmentation immediately after bleaching?

If only a day or two has passed, when hair is bleached,

thin hair can sometimes appear completely transparent with no color at all.

Because black hair needs some time to grow back from the roots before the degree of hair loss can be assessed,

if you allow a gap of about one or two days,

scalp micropigmentation is definitely possible.
