Hello,
This is Dana Plastic Surgery, a specialized hair transplant clinic!
Today, following the hair transplant surgery day checklist we prepared earlier, we have put together a clear checklist of things to be careful about in daily life after hair transplant surgery.
If you have questions about hair transplant surgery aftercare, checking today’s checklist can be very helpful, so please review it carefully and slowly!
Hair Transplant Surgery Aftercare Checklist

Let’s take a look at the checklist of precautions after hair transplant surgery, prepared by Dana Plastic Surgery, a specialized hair transplant clinic.
Hair Transplant Surgery Aftercare Checklist ①

The most important thing after hair transplant surgery is not to touch the transplanted area!!
So if you wear a hat after surgery, it is better to wear it loosely by adjusting it about 2 or 3 notches larger than usual.

Sometimes, blood that has pooled in the transplanted area may flow out.
In particular, with non-incisional procedures that do not involve sutures, bleeding may occur after surgery as the vasoconstrictor injection used on the scalp during the procedure wears off.

Because there is bleeding, people who have had hair transplant surgery may feel worried and startled. However, it does not mean that a sudden major problem has occurred, so please do not panic. If you contact the clinic, we will provide appropriate guidance!
Hair Transplant Surgery Aftercare Checklist ②

After hair transplant surgery, it is best to sleep lying straight on your back so that the transplanted area is not pressed!
Some people sleep on their stomach, but doing so is not good because it puts pressure on the transplanted area.

Also, after hair transplant surgery, some people use hard pillows, wooden pillows, or stone pillows. It is best not to use these hard pillows because they are not good!
Instead of a hard pillow, it is also good to use a soft cotton pillow or to place 2–3 towels on top of the pillow.

Even if you had an incisional procedure, do not sleep on your stomach under any circumstances. It is best to sleep lying straight on your back, facing the ceiling.

If the side area was transplanted, it is best to avoid sleeping on your side. Also, if you are taking any medication regularly, you can resume taking it right after surgery, so do not forget to take your medicine.
Hair Transplant Surgery Aftercare Checklist ③

Some people ask about cold compresses after hair transplant surgery, but Dana Plastic Surgery, a specialized hair transplant clinic, does not specifically recommend them.

A long time ago, cold compresses were recommended. However, since cold compresses do not greatly help reduce swelling, and swelling is not severe even without them, we do not specifically recommend them.

If you choose to apply a cold compress yourself, do not apply it directly to the transplanted area, as this may cause vasoconstriction and actually be harmful. It is better to apply it while avoiding the transplanted area and the donor area.

Lastly, be sure to take the medication prescribed by the clinic as directed.
