Hello,
This is Dana Plastic Surgery!
Many people focus on post-operative care while looking forward to having fuller hair after a hair transplant.
Among them are many people who enjoy outdoor activities and exercise.
And one activity that has become especially popular these days is golf!
We often receive questions such as:
“When can I go out for a round of golf?”
We will organize information on when exercise is possible after surgery, when you can return to your daily routine, and precautions for successful graft survival!
How long does it take for transplanted hair grafts to settle after a hair transplant?
The graft survival rate is the most important factor determining the success or failure of a hair transplant procedure.
It takes at least 7–8 days for the transplanted follicles to settle properly into the scalp and receive nutrients.
During this period, you must take particular care to prevent a sudden increase in pressure on the scalp in the transplanted area or any physical irritation.
When can you play a round of golf after a hair transplant?

There is golf played at a practice range,
and there are also rounds played on an outdoor course.
However, if you are going out for a round on an outdoor course,
it is possible from at least 10 days after surgery,
and it is best to avoid it during very hot summer weather.

We recommend gradually starting outdoor rounds from 10 days after surgery, when graft survival has stabilized.
We also recommend beginning strenuous exercise after two weeks.
A hair transplant procedure itself is important,
but how well you protect the hair follicles in your daily life afterward
has a significant impact on the results.
Please refer to the precautions and recover safely!
