Is There a Skin Booster That Combines Rejuran and a Water-Shine Injection? (Rejuran Actual Effects, Rene Healer) / Gangnam Sinsa-dong Dermatology Clinic

Hello, this is Lifton Dermatology Clinic.

For several years now, it seems like we are in the golden age of skin boosters, led by Rejuran, which is famous as a salmon injection.

A skin booster refers to a procedure that injects substances effective for various skin improvements into the skin.

Among them, the most well-known ingredient is PN (polynucleotide).

These PN ingredients are not synthetically produced in a laboratory, but are mainly extracted from organisms such as salmon or trout and made into injectable products.

PN is an ingredient whose effectiveness has already been proven, not only when injected into the skin but also when injected into joints.

When injected into the skin, it restores damaged skin,

stimulates fibroblasts to promote collagen synthesis and improve fine wrinkles,

and restores the skin barrier, making the face look brighter and eventually turning it into healthy skin.

Then what kind of feedback do people who actually received Rejuran have?

Lifton has performed a large number of Rejuran procedures on more than several thousand people so far, so this is somewhat subjective, but we will give our own evaluation.

First, the most noticeable effect is moisturizing.

It feels like moisture is being replenished in the face and the skin is glowing, almost as if moisturizer has been applied. However, based on experience, when 2 CC of Rejuran is performed on both cheeks, fewer than 50% of patients feel an immediate moisturizing effect after just one session, and after the second session is completed, a little over half seem to feel an improvement in hydration.

That is why many clinics perform a water-shine injection containing hyaluronic acid (HA) together with Rejuran.

Since it is difficult to feel an immediate improvement with Rejuran alone, a combined procedure is used.

Then what about Rejuran’s effect on wrinkles?

In fact, it is very difficult to treat fine facial wrinkles with Rejuran injection alone. For areas with thin skin, such as around the eyes, many people relatively often feel an improvement in fine wrinkles,

but using Rejuran for the purpose of improving fine facial wrinkles may be disappointingㅠ

To summarize, the disappointing points of Rejuran as felt by Lifton are as follows (this does not mean Rejuran is a bad product at all).

1. The initial moisturizing effect is weak when used alone.
2. The fine wrinkle improvement effect is minimal.
3. The moisturizing effect does not last long (feedback that the water-shine effect fades early)

These could be summarized as such.

Is there another alternative?

So, while wondering whether there was a booster that could provide good initial hydration, last reasonably long in terms of moisturizing effect, and also be useful for improving fine wrinkles, we continued to perform procedures using several existing skin boosters in our own combination recipe, and the feedback was quite good.

Renephil Light Plus = PN + cross-linked HA

The first ingredient is Renephil Light Plus. It is a filler product containing PN and cross-linked HA (hyaluronic acid). You might say, “Why use a filler as a skin booster?” but

Belotero Revive, Juvederm Volite

As a third-generation skin booster, Juvederm Volite is already being actively used under the name “Bolbit Injection,” and Belotero Revive is already in use overseas and is scheduled to be launched in Korea this year.

Both products are imported, so they are quite expensive, and they consist solely of cross-linked HA. In contrast, Renephil Light Plus is relatively affordable and contains not only cross-linked HA but also PN, which is why we chose it.

The second ingredient we chose is HA.

Lilyaid M

In fact, any HA product would have been fine, but we chose Lilyaid, which is widely used and relatively well known.

Since cross-linked HA can cause the embossing effect to last quite a long time when injected into the dermis layer,

we created a protocol that mixes in non-cross-linked HA to lower the viscosity and inject it a little deeper than the existing Rejuran.

So a booster containing PN + cross-linked HA + non-cross-linked HA was created...

Naming it “Renehealer Light Plus and Lilyaid mixed injection” was too long, so we casually created the injection name “Renehealer” ^^

So we started the procedure for people who wanted something a little more immediate than the existing Rejuran, wanted the moisturizing effect to last a little longer, and also wanted some effect on fine wrinkles at the same time.

If I show you an actual patient case,

Before treatment

This is a photo before the Renehealer injection. The skin was very dry, and especially the nasolabial folds were quite visible. We injected 6 CC of Renehealer across the entire face, with special attention to the nasolabial folds.

1 week after Renehealer treatment

These are photos taken one week after the Renehealer injection. Overall skin texture and hydration improved, and there was a certain level of effect not only on fine wrinkles but also on the nasolabial folds. The patient was also quite satisfied.

You can see that the effect is still being maintained well even after 4 weeks.

Comparison of photos before treatment and 1 month after treatment

I will show you a slightly enlarged view. In the after photo, the patient took and sent the picture themselves (I understand it was taken with the phone’s default camera with no makeup and with the default filter applied), but even taking that into account, this was a case with a very good treatment result.
