Hello. This is Lifton Dermatology Clinic at Sinsa Station, where the dermatologist is Dr. Shin.

Many people want to get a lifting procedure, but there are so many lifting treatments available that they have a hard time deciding. Broadly, it can be divided into surgery or non-surgery, or into thread lifting or laser lifting. Even within laser lifting, there are many types depending on the principle, and even if the principle is the same, the types are divided depending on whether it is the original or a copy product.
So, what is the lifting laser that is right for me?
You cannot simply divide it into “this person gets Ulthera, that person gets Thermage.” Also, it is not as simple as deciding, “this person has a large face, so Ulthera 800 shots; that person has a small face, so 300 shots...”
The most important factors are face shape, degree of sagging, the points of sagging, and skin thickness.
You need to understand several factors in order to achieve a lifting effect. In fact, there are younger people with little sagging who come in and say they have been getting a large number of Ulthera/Thermage shots every six months. I think that too much of anything is not good.
The more shots, the more effective it can be, but doing an unlimited number of shots only creates excessive stimulation and is not financially reasonable either.
Then what lifting laser
should you choose?
You can get a more specific explanation after a consultation, but to summarize simply, you should first define the purpose. That is why I start with open questions in the exam room. What exactly is your concern? If I think my skin is thin and fine lines are bothering me, but the doctor sees deep cheek fat, then doing only Ulthera will obviously lead to lower satisfaction after the procedure.
If we match the device to the purpose:
Sagging is severe. I want to lift a heavy bulk: Ulthera
I want improvement in fine lines. My skin is thin and lacks volume: Thermage
I want an immediate lifting effect: Titanium + ONDA
I want my face to become smaller: Ulthera + ONDA
I want something with less pain and something I can keep getting lightly and consistently: ONDA
This is one way to organize it, but in more detail, it is better to get a consultation and a long-term plan.
