Hello. This is Lifton Dermatology.
As time passes, our faces gradually change. In particular, areas with frequent facial movement, such as the eye area, cheeks, and jawline, begin to lose elasticity first, causing the contours to blur and the skin to slowly show sagging. But did you know that this is not simply a problem of the ‘surface’?
True aging begins with structural changes beneath the skin, so addressing it requires a precise approach that can target deeper layers.

What makes Ulthera Prime different?
Ulthera PRIME is a high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) device that upgrades the existing Ulthera system. Rather than simply ‘delivering’ ultrasound, it has the advantage of allowing treatment while directly checking the inside of the skin through real-time ultrasound imaging.
In other words, after accurately identifying each patient’s different skin thickness, fat distribution, and the location of the SMAS layer, it seems to offer a level of precision far beyond that of conventional lifting devices by enabling a personalized lifting design.
Core technology of Ulthera Prime

- Application of high-resolution ultrasound imaging technology
With DeepSee ™ technology, the internal structure of the skin can be observed in real time, making it possible to deliver energy precisely only to the necessary depth, reduce unnecessary stimulation, and maximize effectiveness.
- Enhanced depth exploration capability
It can observe deeper layers than conventional devices, up to 8 mm, allowing for more precise treatment especially in areas with more fat, such as the double chin or cheeks.
- Customized treatment design
Even with the same age and skin type, facial structure and aging patterns can be completely different, so after first examining the skin, the treatment depth, intensity, and number of shots are adjusted to design a lifting treatment optimized for each individual.
How Ulthera Prime works

Using high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), it forms thermal coagulation points only in the dermis and SMAS layer without affecting the surface of the skin. This thermal stimulation induces the production of collagen and elastin, so lifting effects can appear gradually from immediately after the procedure, and over time you may experience a plumper feeling in the skin.
In particular, because it is not simply about ‘operating’ the device but about directly viewing and adjusting the treatment from inside the skin, I think the biggest differentiating point is that the energy reaches the correct depth, at the designated level, in a stable manner.

Ulthera Prime is not a procedure that can be chosen simply by the name of the machine alone.
To fully bring out the device’s performance, the treatment must be supported by medical staff who can accurately read the skin and understand its anatomical structure.
At Lifton Dermatology, we design treatments based on high-resolution ultrasound diagnosis before the procedure, tailoring them precisely to each person’s face. A lifting treatment that looks not just at the surface of the skin, but at the ‘internal structure.’ We hope you will experience this different standard of lifting firsthand at Lifton.
Thank you.
