That is because I believe a good dental clinic

should be a place that does more than simply place implants well;

it should think of every possible way

to preserve the patient's original teeth one more time

and devote itself sincerely to treatment.

Of course, there are situations in which extraction is unavoidable,

such as when a tooth is completely damaged down to the root

or is severely loose because the supporting jawbone has been lost.

However,

there are certainly treatment options that can be attempted

before proceeding with an implant,

including gum treatment, root canal treatment,

or an apicoectomy.

When you receive an implant consultation,

be sure to check whether the dentist clearly explains

the scientific basis for extracting the tooth

and whether the clinic considers with you

whether there truly are no other ways to save it.

Does the dentist who consults with you before treatment also perform the surgery?

Implant placement is

a complex surgical procedure

in which an artificial tooth root is placed in the jawbone

When you look around at several dental clinics,

you will probably find some where implant treatment is particularly inexpensive.

From a patient's perspective,

Is it so cheap because they do not use genuine products,

It is natural to have reasonable doubts and feel uneasy.

As a dentist, one of the most heartbreaking moments I encounter in practice

is seeing patients who urgently need treatment

but keep postponing it because of the burden of costs amounting to millions of won.

The longer a tooth is left untreated,

the more the surrounding bone can be lost,

what could have been handled easily at first

requires a much more extensive solution later.

There is only one reason I maintain reasonable costs:

I hope that no one will turn away at the dental clinic door because of the cost,

and that more people will receive treatment in time

to protect their oral health for life.

Whether the intention behind a low price

is merely to attract customers

or reflects a sincere medical philosophy centered on patients

can be clearly determined by checking

whether genuine materials are used

and whether a thorough follow-up care system is in place.

The sincerity I want to convey as a dentist

When choosing a dental clinic for implants,

compare your options while keeping the criteria I mentioned in mind.

• Do they first make an effort to preserve natural teeth?

• Does the medical team take responsibility and perform the procedure directly?

• If the price is reasonable,

does it reflect genuine concern for the patient?

If you confirm the sincerity of a dentist

who listens to your story and makes a thorough diagnosis,

you will surely be able to make a good choice.
