[Dosan Park Restaurant] A Hot Spot in Dosan Park Where You Can Taste the Flavor of Nostalgia

Retro is in style these days,

so we visited Dosan Park’s “Dosan Bunsik,”

which became famous as Lee Young-ja’s top pick.

Here begins our honest review.

Dosan Bunsik is near Downtowner behind CGV Cheongdam Cine City,

and you can find it by turning through the alleyways.

There is a waiting area on one side.

Back when the place was getting a lot of TV exposure,

there was always a long line in front of Dosan Bunsik.

On this day, it was a weekday,

and it was a little past lunchtime,

so there was no wait.

The exterior has a unique sense of atmosphere.

The glass water bottles and green plates placed at each seat are striking.

The tables are mostly for two people.

There are also couple sets and combo sets.

The prices are not exactly cheap. ^^;;

There were many things I wanted to try,

but since we went as two people,

we ordered Couple Set 1.

It somehow has a bit of a Hong Kong feel too.

Water bottles and tableware that remind me of childhood

If you order cider or cola,

it comes in a bottle with a straw inserted like this.

It’s a very small size.

The first dish to come out was tteokbokki.

It contains fried fish cake and fried egg.

It also includes regular fish cake, not just the fried kind.

It’s a spicy-sweet, old-style broth tteokbokki.

A flavor almost anyone would like.

Egg kimbap filled generously with soft egg strips + mentaiko mayo

It tastes good when dipped in the salty mentaiko mayo.

It also goes well with tteokbokki broth.

Still, it’s just rice and egg in kimbap form, so the price feels a bit high, right?

Personally, I wish they had at least added danmuji.

Katsu sando included in the set.

It’s a bit unexpected to find a katsu sando at a bunsik restaurant,

but this was the menu item I enjoyed most.

It was just thick pork cutlet and tonkatsu sauce on bread,

but the balance was good and it was filling.

The thickness of the pork cutlet and the juiciness were also great.

I was also curious about the taste of the Dosan bibim noodles and Hong Kong toast,

so I’ll have to come again next time.
