Sweet things are the best, and when paired with flour,

it’s p-e-r-f-e-c-t☆★

The ultimate combination of sugar and flour is

none other than~~ donuts, right?

So here’s today’s restaurant visit!

This is my honest review of Old Ferry in Hannam-dong.

This is Old Ferry Donut,

located below Blue Square in Hannam-dong.

It’s situated among the residential streets

heading up from the Nine One area toward Blue Square.

If you go up the stairs,

there’s a small outdoor area

and the front entrance.

It was a weekday that day,

and it was raining, so no one was outside.

But on weekends, that spot probably gets packed too..? Maybe?

The interior feels like this.

The seats aren’t especially spacious or comfortable,ㅠ

For some reason, it feels like there might be seating on another floor,

but there isn’t. Hahaha

At the entrance, there are friendly photos and donut descriptions.

People taking food to go can see everything at a glance, too.

The donuts I was curious about!!!

This is the drink menu.

I saw a lot of people ordering the Tube Latte,

which is Old Ferry’s signature menu item

with a mini donut on top of the latte.

I came to eat a different donut,

so I skipped it that day.

From the reviews I usually saw, if you go late

or on weekends, the donuts sell out quickly.

But seeing the trays lined up with donuts reassured me.

We ordered drinks and donuts and waited.

We sat by the window and looked out at the rain.

As we looked at the paintings that made us wonder

whether this was a donut shop or an art museum,

our coffee and donuts were ready!

Hot Americano and iced Americano!

We ordered the peanut butter and raspberry donuts.

The price was a little over 5,000 won,

so it’s on the expensive side, but the size is large and the filling is generous.

Is it just me, or does this make you think of The Simpsons?

The peanut butter donut

was packed full of peanut butter. It was the tastiest.

The raspberry one I was most looking forward to

was filled with homemade raspberry jam inside.

You can feel the tart raspberries popping as you chew,

but personally, I thought Knotted’s raspberry donut was tastier.

It was too sweet to finish one whole donutㅠ

Still, it was tasty enough to refresh my mood!

I don’t have photos, but I also packed up a few more donuts

to take home.

I brought home tiramisu and crème brûlée,

as well as Choco Monkey and peanut butter.

All of the donuts I packed to go were delicious,

especially the crème brûlée, which had a crisp outer layer

and soft cream inside.

It wasn’t too sweet either!
