The correction is performed by removing and

shaping part of the cartilage at the nasal tip.

By bringing the nasal tip cartilages together toward the center,

a slimmer and more refined nasal tip can be created.

At the same time, some of the tissue in the nasal tip or nostrils is removed

to reduce bulk and create a thinner-looking nasal tip.

When the alar wings spread outward

and are wide,

surgery can be performed to directly

reduce the alar width.

Methods include making an incision at the base inside the nostril to reduce the width,

narrowing the alar wings by tying them with sutures,

bringing the outer alar wings inward as if tightening them,

and making incisions at both the base inside the nostril and the base of the alar wings

to create the desired width.
