Hello :)
JW Jeongwon Plastic Surgery, who repays you with results.
A new week has started again.
Everyone, cheer up this week too!
The place I’m introducing today is
'Geumeum Jokbal,' a jokbal restaurant that recently opened in Seongsu-dong.

This place is greeted by a cute pig sign.
It is located near the café street behind the Seongsu-dong E-Mart,
and close to Café Mellower.
I visited because I heard their fried jokbal is famous.

This is what the exterior looks like.

There is also a waiting area.

The interior is a bit dark.
Hand sanitizer is placed throughout the space.

I visited a little late,
and it felt like the evening customers had already thinned out once.

The menu is simple.
There are Geumeum Jokbal and the restaurant’s signature menu item,
fried kkwari-pepper jokbal, the must-have bibim guksu,
and alcoholic drinks.
They also have steamed rice and rice balls.

The basic side dishes. The spoon is quite heavy.

Alcohol you can’t leave out when eating jokbal.
I ordered Bingtanbok, a low-temperature aged carbonated bokbunja wine.
They also prepared a dedicated glass.

The kkwari-pepper fried jokbal I was curious about.
Fried kkwari peppers are placed on top of the fried jokbal.

Jokbal tastes good even on its own,
and frying it once makes it twice as nutty and rich.
It also gives off a Haxen-like feel, the German-style pork knuckle dish.

With the fried kkwari peppers and garlic on top,
and eaten with the sauce, the drinks go down very smoothly.

The portion was quite generous, so two people ate
and there was still some left, which we packed to go.

The bibim noodles you can’t leave out.
It’s bibim noodles, but slightly spicy.
It goes well with the meat.
The texture of the noodles was unique.

Unlike a typical jokbal restaurant,
its Seongsu-dong vibe and modern interior make it feel distinctive.
The food was clean and good as well.
And the owner and staff were all very kind.
When you’re in the mood for something a little different in jokbal,
Seongsu-dong’s
'Geumeum Jokbal' was an honest review of a place worth visiting once.
