[Euljiro Cafe] A Hip Euljiro Cafe with Delicious Croffles

I went to Euljiro last weekend and visited a cafe that is rumored to be insanely hip.

Let’s get right into the review?

The place we visited was an Euljiro cafe called 'Verona,' and like most Euljiro cafes, this place also had a look that made it impossible to imagine there was a cafe inside from the outside.

Only a small heart drawing served as a sign that something was here.

We go up the slightly eerie-looking stairs.

We head up in search of Verona, marked as the 3rd floor.

There was also a restaurant on the floor above the cafe, and we ended up going all the way to the restaurant because we couldn’t find the cafe entrance.

This was actually the entrance.

The look of it was nothing like what you’d expect from a cafe entrance.

The sign for 'Eungwang Munhwa' was left as-is too, so it’s easy to walk right past if you’re not paying close attention.

It’s a little scary to open it, but we muster up the courage and go in.

The cafe is called 'Verona,' but it feels very different from the Verona I knew.

Once you go inside, a strong fragrance fills the air, probably because candles are lit throughout the space.

The interior is fairly spacious.

The whole place is dimly lit.

They sell all kinds of croffles in the display case.

There are coffee and drinks, croffles, cocktails, and simple side dishes.

There are images of the signature drinks on one wall, so it might be helpful to take a look.

True to the name Verona, there are Romeo and Juliet drinks on the menu.

We took a seat near the entrance and waited for our order.

The stained-glass-style window looked exotic.

The croffle I had been wanting to try. If it were up to me, I would have liked to try one of each kind, but I ordered the cranberry almond one.

For drinks, we got Purple and Sorbet.

If you tell them your table when ordering, they bring it directly to you and light the candle on the table too.

Purple is a refreshing drink made with passion fruit and lemonade, and it comes layered like a cocktail.

If you mix it well, it becomes a tasty lemonade.

They said the flower is edible too, but it was too big for me to eat haha.

Sorbet is a drink with vanilla ice cream topped with coffee sherbet and coffee cream sherbet, but it felt more like an affogato than a drink.

The cranberry almond croffle was incredibly crispy and delicious.

The white topping on top is cream cheese.

It was so crunchy that it wasn’t easy to cut, but it tasted amazing.

We went a little early, so there weren’t many people there.

By the time we finished eating and were about to leave, customers started coming in one by one.

It looked like everyone was taking photos in front of the mirror there haha.

The prices are generally a bit on the expensive side, but I recommend visiting at least once because you can enjoy the unique atmosphere and special drinks.

In any case, this was an honest review of Verona, the ultimate hip Euljiro cafe.
