[Euljiro Restaurant] Futomaki and Steak Rice Bowl, Jinjak in Euljiro

On my last visit to Euljiro, before going to a cafe,

I stopped by Euljiro’s ‘Jinjak’ for a meal,

so here is my honest review of the trendy Euljiro restaurant ‘Jinjak.’

Jinjak is located near Euljiro 3-ga Station,

and there are many famous

Hipjiro cafes nearby as well.

I visited around 12 p.m. on a weekend for lunch,

and it was already full, with a small line waiting outside.

We also waited about 10 minutes before going in.

We were guided to the second floor.

The first floor has counter seating,

and the second floor is made up of tables.

Even the second floor was full. There are two-person seats along the wall,

and a large table and four-person seats in the middle.

Behind the chairs along the wall, there is a place

for storing bags like this. Since the tables are narrow

and the space is tight, it seems they made a separate

area for bags, which was convenient and practical.

They even placed wireless chargers here and there—nice touch!

Water is served in small bottles like this,

and personally, I think that feels more hygienic, so I like it better.

The best-selling futomaki and gopchang rice bowl,

steak rice bowl, assorted cutlet platter, mentaiko carbonara,

Jinjak vongole, and various drinks and alcoholic beverages are available.

Since we came for the futomaki,

we ordered one futomaki and one steak rice bowl.

First, the steak rice bowl was served.

The colors are pretty and vibrant.

It comes with sauce and kkakdugi kimchi soup.

Because there is a lot of meat, they recommend putting some on a small side plate

and eating it with horseradish and sauce.

The bowl looked so small that I thought the portion would be small,

but half of the bowl was meat.

A substantial amount of meat.

Under the meat there was stir-fried onion and paprika,

and below that was rice.

I mixed the egg yolk and rice well and ate it with the meat.

The meat itself was seasoned well,

so it was tasty even without dipping it in the sauce.

It was delicious with the pungent horseradish.

The meat was also very tender.

Soon after, the futomaki arrived!

A total of five pieces are served,

and they are huge..

Compared to a regular compact, this is the size.

It’s hard to fit in one bite, but it tastes best when you do!

The rice was seasoned just right, and the balance with the ingredients was great.

It does feel a little pricey, but both dishes left us full.
