[Ilsan Restaurant] Honest Review of Popolo Pizza in Ilsan, Famous for Its Wood-Fired Pizza

a clinic that repays you with results.

I had been craving wood-fired pizza for a while,

so I visited a wood-fired pizza place said to be famous in Ilsan,

Popolo Pizza in Ilsan.

Here begins my honest review.

The business hours are posted at the entrance.

As expected from its reputation, there were several waiting groups.

It was around 7:30, and reception had already closed.

For reference, I arrived around 5:30,

and there were about 37 groups ahead of me.

Thinking about how delicious it must be~~, I went

to a nearby shopping mall to pass the time,

and when there were about 10 groups left ahead of me,

I waited again in front of the restaurant.

After waiting about 30 more minutes, I was seated.

There is a photo menu posted in front of the restaurant.

It would be a good idea to decide what to order while waiting.

Finally, our seats!

Here is the menu.

We ordered the signature Bismarck pizza,

arugula pasta, and fried shrimp/octopus.

Originally, I wanted to eat lasagna,

but it was sold out, so I couldn’t order it.

The fried dish that came out first.

It had the feel of Italian-style seafood fritters.

Since it felt like an appetizer/side dish,

the portion wasn’t large.

Next came the wood-fired pizza.

It did take a little while.

An egg yolk is placed on top of the center of the pizza,

and at first glance it looks cooked, but when I cut into it, it was soft-boiled.

The taste was exactly what it looked like!

It was an ordinary wood-fired pizza taste.

It made me think, do I really need to wait in line for this?

Next came the arugula pasta.

The pasta was a bit unique.

You’re supposed to drizzle it with lemon juice and mix it well to eat it,

and the arugula pesto was very tangy and sweet,

with a flavor I don’t usually get to taste.

It felt somewhat similar to a salad pasta,

but it was also distinct.

Overall, the taste and atmosphere were average.

It was a place that made me think, there’s no need to wait in line for two hours to eat here..

That was my honest review of Popolo Pizza in Ilsan.
