[Seongsu Restaurant] A Longtime Staple on Seongsu-dong Galbi Street

Last week, after a long time, I visited Seongsu-dong

Galbi Street.

I visited 'Daesung Galbi,'

which I had always been unable to try because it was so crowded,

so let's get straight into the honest review?

This is 'Daesung Galbi,'

which played a big role in making Galbi Street famous.

Normally there would be a long line,

but when I visited around 4 p.m. on Saturday,

it was this quiet.

Still, a few tables were already

grilling meat.

We also got a seat by luck!

They also have other meat menu items such as

beef short ribs, sirloin, and brisket.

We ordered two portions of pork ribs

and one cold beer.

The portion is fairly generous.

It is 15,000 won per serving.

Side dish setup. The radish salad was delicious :)

They also give you a basket of wraps,

and I liked that they didn’t just serve lettuce and perilla leaves,

but a variety of greens.

It really has the feel of an old-school restaurant.

Now we put the meat on the grill.

Garlic goes on too.

Daesung Galbi serves seasoned crab as a side dish,

and this seasoned crab is really good with rice.

It’s also delicious if you grill it lightly on the grill later!

Another complimentary item: kimchi stew.

It’s a little sweet, but the flavor is rich.

A bold, savory taste.

It seems like it would be good as a lunch menu item too.

Office workers nearby must be happy~

Cold noodles, a must with ribs.

The cold noodles weren’t exceptionally delicious.

After taking one bite, something like plastic came out from inside,

so we had it replaced. ㅠㅠ

They gave us a cola as a complimentary item.

We added more meat and had one more serving.

Overall, because there were so many customers,

and perhaps because the restaurant is old,

the hygiene and friendliness were a little disappointing.

There are quite a lot of staff,

but some were kind and some were not very friendly..

It was also a bit unfortunate that there was a foreign object in the cold noodles..

But the meat was delicious.

When you're craving pork ribs with a glass of soju,

this is a good Galbi Street restaurant to visit.
