[Ttukseom Station Restaurant] A Bite of Crispy Fried Food with Rice: Honest Review of Chikamichi in Seongsu

Koreans really do run on rice, don’t they!

A day when I especially craved a bowl of rice!

It was one of those days.

I had originally planned to visit another restaurant,

but the line was too long, so we quickly detoured here!

This is Chikamichi in Seongsu.

Today, I’ll start with the location.

It’s right near Exit 7 of Ttukseom Station.

The interior is small and modest.

It has a clean, cozy Japanese home-style restaurant feel.

We’re hungry, so let’s take a quick look at the menu?

The menu is cute too.

Since we’re seasoned eaters,

even though there were two of us, we ordered four dishes.

Ahem, ahem.

For the meal, we ordered omurice and mille-feuille katsu,

ika karaage and tori karaage.

The mille-feuille katsu is limited to 15 servings a day,

and luckily, we were able to order it.

The basic side dishes were neatly plated.

The indispensable pickled radish and kkakdugi

and they also gave us pumpkin salad.

Fluffy egg, all over the place, omurice.

It was soft, and the sauce was delicious too.

Limited-quantity mille-feuille katsu.

Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside—delicious.

I enjoyed it with rice.

The cabbage salad was refreshing too, which was nice.

Ika karaage ordered as a side.

It’s fried squid legs.

Chicken karaage was a must too.

Personally, I was satisfied with both types of karaage.

These are dishes that can easily become hard and greasy,

but there was none of that at all—they were crispy on the outside and soft inside.

I ate very well and felt completely full and satisfied.

The prices were reasonable too, so it was a very satisfying meal.
