[Ilsan Duck Restaurant] Roast Duck and Sweet Honey Sweet Potatoes, Honest Review of Canaan Duck Ilsan Branch

It’s the end of the year, and the spread of COVID-19

still hasn’t calmed down easily.

It’s been hard for everyone,

but I hope we can overcome this crisis by

participating in social distancing!

It’s been several weeks since I’ve only been staying at home

due to social distancing,

and today’s post is also about Canaan Duck,

a famous duck restaurant in Ilsan that I visited a few months ago.

I recommend it as a place to go once COVID ends,

so let’s start the detailed post now.

Canaan Duck in Ilsan, which I visited last May.

I looked it up and found that it’s a famous duck restaurant

with several branches.

The main branch is located in Ilsan,

and it is divided into a new building and the main building like this.

It seems to be extremely famous for roast duck.

The garden is also beautifully landscaped.

I visited a little late at this time,

and even though it was past 9 p.m.,

there were 5 to 6 groups waiting.

I waited while looking around the garden.

They told us the wait would be about 30 minutes,

but in reality I think we waited about 15 minutes.

Maybe because the place is large, the table turnover is fast.

Even if you don’t order separately, duck meat is prepared as a basic item,

and a plate like the one on the right in the photo is served.

What is wrapped in foil under the grill

is sweet potato.

They put it in together when they light the fire.

Sizzling away, the duck is meant to be eaten wrapped with various sauces,

leafy greens for wraps, pickled radish for wraps, and the side dishes.

It was soft and flavorful, with no unpleasant smell at all.

We grilled and ate a lot, and also had a bowl of mung bean porridge,

but unfortunately the photo is goneㅠㅠ

I remember the mung bean porridge being a special treat too.

The highlight of the day was this sweet potato!

Toward the time when the fire is taken out, you take out and eat the sweet potato,

and it was an incredibly sweet and delicious honey sweet potato.

I’d even want to go back just for this sweet potato.

If you eat it while blowing on it in a cold winter like now,

it would probably taste even better.

I hope COVID ends soon so I can go again!
