Hello, this is JW Garden Plastic Surgery,
Gangnam Plastic Surgery!
As time goes by,
the interest in appearance increases,
and as the desire to improve appearance grows,
many people pay a lot of attention to their outward look.
When you suddenly look in the mirror and see that aging has already
left you with a somewhat downcast image,
many people begin looking for ways
to slow down the aging process.
Among them, there are quite a few people searching for face lift reviews!
But if you are hesitating to make a decision because of the size of the scars
that may remain afterward,
shall we take a look at our clinic’s video?

Let’s briefly organize the content!

As mentioned earlier,
when you look at face lift reviews, the results really seem good,
but the size of the scar left behind feels burdensome,
so many people think of it as a double-edged sword.

Usually, when performing a face lift,
the incision starts inside the temporal scalp,
passes in front of the ear and behind the tragus, then passes in front of the ear again,
and continues behind the ear along the hairline.

To minimize scarring after a face lift,
the first step is to proceed while hiding the incision line as much as possible during surgery.
The incision must follow the curved areas of the ear
to hide these lines.

To effectively hide the incision line,
it should not pass in front of the tragus
but rather be made behind the tragus!
In other words, the behind-the-tragus incision method
is a way to minimize scarring.

What is important here is when the excised skin is pulled and closed with sutures.
If too much of the remaining skin is removed,
the tension at the suture site increases.
As a result, after the wound at the suture site heals,
the scar gradually widens,
creating a thick line rather than a thin one.

To prevent this, the medical team performing the solution
should minimize skin excision as much as possible
and reduce tension at the suture site;
this can be considered the key point.

To do so, it is important to carefully separate the SMAS (SMAS) tissue
beneath the skin and lift it upward to maximize the face lift effect,
while keeping the amount of skin removed within a range
that minimizes tension at the suture site,
so that scarring can be minimized.

At this point, if the force pulling the skin layer
exceeds the force pulling the SMAS layer,
the tension at the suture site will cause the surgical scar
to differ greatly in width.

High tension at this suture site
can also cause side effects.
Shall we look into it in a bit more detail?

The representative side effects are hypertrophic scars
and pixie ear deformity.
Pixie ear deformity occurs when the skin is overcut and stitched
without considering the position of the ear,
or when the SMAS layer is not firmly fixed.

In such cases, the ear is not fixed in place
and descends downward as well, resulting in a pixie ear deformity.
That is why Dr. Kang Hong-dae at our clinic, JW Garden Plastic Surgery in Gangnam,
secures the ear position with sutures,
determines the appropriate amount of skin excision,
and then proceeds with the solution,
helping prevent pixie ear deformity.

On the other hand, some people are born with pixie ears.
For these people, a face lift can be performed together with pixie ear correction,
allowing the ears to change into a more attractive shape.

Then, let’s look at real cases of patients who received a face lift at JW Garden Plastic Surgery!
The incision was made along the behind-the-tragus area up to the hairline,
but even 7 months later, the wound after the procedure and changes in ear shape
were not particularly noticeable.

Now let’s look at a case involving a female patient.
She visited us because of sagging cheeks and neck wrinkles,
and underwent a face lift for the purpose of improving the V-line and double chin.

We compared photos from 2 months after the procedure.
The surgical scar around the ear was so inconspicuous
that the result looked very natural.
Also, this was a case that had the congenital pixie ear shape mentioned earlier,
and through face lift surgery together with pixie ear correction,
it was possible to change to a prettier earlobe shape.

This case was also performed using the traditional face lift incision method.

Not only were the sagging cheeks and neck wrinkles improved,
but the drooping upper eyelids and the shape under the eyes
were also improved.
In addition, regarding the wound marks around the ears,
there is no clear line visible,
only a very thin line,
leaving behind only a faint scar that can be seen only upon close inspection.

If a face lift is performed while following methods that can minimize scarring,
the scars will not appear as large or as noticeable as you might think.
That is why you should proceed only after a thorough consultation with a specialist!

Our Gangnam Plastic Surgery, JW Garden Plastic Surgery,
has supplemented the limitations of the existing face lift, which did not allow freedom from later wound marks,
and with abundant experience and skilled know-how,
the scars after the procedure are barely noticeable.
This is possible because the incision is made from inside the scalp,
following the inner curvature of the ear,
so that the incision line is hidden as much as possible!

If your nasolabial folds are pronounced or your jawline has become sagging,
making you look older and more downcast,
you may be considering a strong lifting procedure.
For people like this, please consider getting help from our SMAS contour lifting,
which offers a strong lifting effect and natural results with inconspicuous scarring.

If you would like to know more about JW Garden Plastic Surgery’s SMAS contour lifting,
which sharpens a blurred jawline,
creates a more youthful facial contour,
and turns back time,
