How much pain and effect does Volnewmer have?
“People say lifting always hurts..
How much does it hurt?
If it hurts, does that mean it works?”
The most common questions about lifting procedures are
about effectiveness and pain.
There was even talk that it has to hurt to work,
so many people hesitated to get the procedure
because of the pain.
But recently,
there are lifting treatments that are effective
without being painful.
Today, I’d like to talk about one of them,
VOLNEWMER.
To discuss effectiveness and pain more objectively,
let’s also look at some research papers.

- What is the principle behind Volnewmer lifting having less pain?
Volnewmer is based on monopolar RF
technology.
It works by delivering heat deep into the dermis,
causing collagen contraction
and stimulating new collagen production.

This is exactly where the pain from RF lifting comes from.
As heat reaches the skin surface,
pain and a burning sensation occur.
Each RF device uses a different method
for cooling the surface.
When heat is cooled with cold gas spraying,
repeated cold and heat stimulation can make
pain feel stronger in some cases.

Volnewmer is equipped with a
“continuous water-cooling system” that constantly circulates
cold water inside the treatment tip,
so the surface is stably cooled
while only the dermis is heated evenly
at 40–41°C.
That means it is designed to safely
protect the skin surface while stimulating
the inside with consistent heat.
So it is one of the lifting treatments
that offers good results
while causing less pain.
- Volnewmer pain and effect confirmed through research
Let’s look at how a paper on Volnewmer treatment
reported its effectiveness and pain.

This paper was a clinical trial conducted on Koreans
that observed changes for 12 weeks after
just one Volnewmer treatment.
All patients received the procedure without anesthesia,
and pain level, effectiveness, satisfaction,
and side effects were evaluated together.
Pain (NRS) was relatively low,
at an average of 4.28 out of 10,
and the treatment-time warmth sensation (TSS)
was an average of 3.3 out of 5,
with many people saying it felt slightly warm.

For Volnewmer’s effect,
we looked at the amount of volume change by area.

Comparing photos before treatment and 12 weeks later,
volume decreased along the jawline,
making the facial contour appear sharper,
and in the midface area (cheeks and nasolabial folds),
volume increased, softening the nasolabial folds
and making the face look shorter.
This can be interpreted not as simple swelling,
but as structural restoration caused by lifting
and collagen reorganization.
In other words, even without anesthesia,
pain was low,
and clinically significant lifting and
volume improvement were confirmed.
Today, we talked about
Volnewmer pain and effectiveness.
Volnewmer uses a water-cooling system
to reduce pain,
while still delivering lifting results.
So it is a procedure often recommended first
for people who want lifting treatment
but are sensitive to pain.
However, with any procedure,
please make sure to receive a skin evaluation
before treatment and confirm whether it is right for you.
I hope this was helpful,
and I’ll wrap up here.
