'I want to get an Ulthera laser treatment.
I saw online that it can show results in as little as 3 days.
Does that mean I can see results quickly if I go to a good clinic?'
Every time I hear comments like this, I’m reminded once again that there is so much incorrect information about Ulthera being spread around.
When people look for information about Ulthera, they often say they have seen expressions like 'Ulthera laser,' 'uses radiofrequency energy,' and 'immediate results.'
Because these are very inaccurate statements, I can no longer just leave them alone as a doctor, so I would like to correct the two most commonly misunderstood facts about Ulthera near Jamsil Station.
So today, I’ll explain in detail the principle behind Ulthera and when its true effects appear.

Misconceptions and Facts to Know Before Getting Lifting
Jamsil Station
It should not be called Ulthera laser
First of all, we need to remove the word 'laser' that is attached to Ulthera.
Ulthera is not a laser or radiofrequency device.
It is a device that uses high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) energy.

To briefly explain laser/radiofrequency/ultrasound energy, it is as follows:
-
Laser: This mainly involves shining light energy of a specific wavelength onto the skin, and it is used for pigment concerns such as dark spots and for hair removal.
-
Radiofrequency: Thermage is the representative example. When electrical current is passed through the skin, heat is generated because of the body’s electrical resistance. This heat contracts collagen in the dermis and promotes firmness.
-
Ultrasound: You may be most familiar with this from seeing a fetus during an obstetric ultrasound. During Ulthera treatment, multiple ultrasound waves are focused at one point to make them powerful.
So when discussing Ulthera, mentioning laser or radiofrequency would be incorrect information.
Jamsil Station Ulthera Prime
As a bonus, let me share one more thing: these days, treatments are usually performed with a device called 'Ulthera Prime,' which is an upgraded version of Ulthera.
The key point is the expanded depth of skin observation.
The original Ulthera could observe skin layers with ultrasound down to a depth of 4.5 mm.
Ulthera Prime can observe up to 8 mm, which makes it possible to see more precisely and deliver energy more accurately even in thicker skin or when elasticity has significantly declined.
And because screen noise has been reduced, the image is clearer, which also helps lower the risk of side effects such as facial hollowing.

Immediate effects is an incorrect expression

The next thing I want to correct is the misconception about when results appear.
To start with the key point, since Ulthera works through the process of collagen regeneration, it generally takes about 2 to 3 months to see results.
Ulthera creates thermal coagulation points deep within the skin, and in the process of healing these, the body produces new, stronger, healthier collagen and elastin.
However, these elements do not appear magically in just a few days.
Over the course of 2 to 3 months, collagen and elastin gradually build up, and the skin slowly regains its firmness.

But sometimes in reviews and similar posts, you may see claims that results were visible immediately after the treatment or after about 3 days.
That is because the slight tight feeling in the face after Ulthera can be mistaken for a result.
However, in most cases, this is only a temporary tissue contraction caused by heat, so after some time it returns to its original state.
The real lifting effect appears only after the collagen regeneration process.
That is why the recommended treatment interval for Ulthera is usually once or twice a year, and the reason is the timing of when the effect appears and how long it lasts.

Today, I wrote this to correct the misconceptions about Ulthera near Jamsil Station.
Some of you may think,
"If the lifting effect is good,
whether it’s laser, radiofrequency, or ultrasound,
what does it matter?"
"Maybe they don’t say results appear quickly
because they aren’t confident?"
But the difference between going into a treatment after understanding exactly what it is and not doing so is really significant. Since this is a procedure for your own skin, I hope you will consider it from many angles and make a careful decision so that you can get good results.
