People looking into skin boosters for the first time often think of Rejuran.
Rejuran’s main ingredient is PN (polynucleotide), and it is a treatment commonly discussed with people whose skin is dry and sensitive and becomes red easily when irritated.
However, some people remain dissatisfied after Rejuran because their skin still looks thin and lacking in firmness.

Rejuran does not resolve every skin concern.
In most of these cases, several issues are intertwined, including reduced skin thickness, fine lines, and makeup settling into the skin, making the discomfort feel more pronounced.
Examples include an increase in fine lines around the eyes and mouth, cheeks that appear thin, and foundation settling between the pores and wrinkles.
This is not because Rejuran is a skin booster that does not work, but because of how Rejuran works.

Rejuran works by stimulating skin regeneration. For this effect to appear, a certain amount of regenerative material, such as collagen, needs to remain in the skin.
When aging has progressed significantly and there is already a lack of collagen available for regeneration, the response may be slow no matter how much stimulation is applied.
As a result, it can be difficult to feel the expected effects.
Therefore, in cases like these, choosing an ECM (extracellular matrix) skin booster treatment such as Rituo or Cellrdm may be more appropriate than Rejuran.

2. What Is an ECM Skin Booster?
Existing skin boosters such as Rejuran and Juvelook focus on ingredients that induce hyaluronic acid or collagen synthesis.
ECM boosters, on the other hand, go one step further by directly supplying the components that make up the skin itself.
ECM is a fundamental component of connective tissue made up of protein fibers such as collagen and elastin, along with gel-like substances such as proteoglycans and glycosaminoglycans.

3. How Do Rituo and Cellrdm Differ?
Representative ECM products include Rituo and Cellrdm. Both products are based on human-derived acellular allogeneic dermis (hADM).
However, they clearly differ in particle size and primary functions.
Rituo has a particle size of approximately 100 µm and remains in the dermal layer for an extended period, where it provides structural support.
Because the particles are relatively large, some resistance may be felt during injection.
However, this also means that it has a stronger effect of physically filling out the dermis, making it suitable for people concerned about enlarged pores, an overall loss of elasticity, or sagging.

Cellrdm, on the other hand, has a particle size of approximately 75 µm, making it about 25% finer than Rituo and allowing it to disperse evenly throughout the skin.
Because the particles are finer, there is less resistance and discomfort during injection, and it is particularly suited to restoring the skin barrier and improving skin texture.
For this reason, it is often a good fit for people with thin, sensitive skin, shallow fine lines, or concerns about skin texture and radiance.

First, if you did not achieve satisfactory results with Rejuran alone, it is important to understand that there may have been an insufficient amount of collagen itself to support regeneration.
Therefore, you may consider fourth- or fifth-generation skin boosters such as Rituo or Cellrdm, which directly supplement ECM rather than stimulating collagen.
However, although both products belong to the same ECM category, they differ in particle size and expected effects.
