Today, let’s take a look at what kind of changes were made to her eye shape.

Lift drooping eyes!! Eyebrow lift

An eyebrow lift is a method in which the skin is cut below the eyebrow like this,

Ptosis? Brow ptosis? What is that?

As we age, the aging process progresses, and with the influence of gravity, changes begin to appear in the eyes as well.

In particular, the eyes can be viewed as divided into the inner and outer sides,

starting from the outer side, they gradually droop like this and begin to sag backward.

Once you’re in your 70s, the outer part may droop down and cover the eyeball,

and in severe cases, the outer eye corner becomes slightly irritated, causing frequent discharge, a feeling of tears pooling, and various other discomforts.

The condition in which the eyelid appears drooped is called ptosis, and usually the eyebrows also come down with it.

Because the eyelid droops and pulls everything down with it,

the eyebrows, which were once clearly defined, gradually move downward like this, and this is separately called brow ptosis.

So,

there are cases of ptosis, cases of brow ptosis, and cases where both are present.

Unfortunately, most people have both.

Also, because you keep trying to lift drooping eyes, it naturally causes more wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes, right?

In particular, since the forehead muscles have to be used a lot, even more wrinkles tend to form.

What is an eyebrow lift?

The representative procedures for middle-aged eye surgery are double eyelid surgery, eyebrow lift, and forehead lift.

Among these, the most familiar one is probably double eyelid surgery.

The second one is the eyebrow lift I mentioned, which cuts from below the eyebrow, and lastly there is the forehead lift, which raises the forehead and eyebrows again.

An eyebrow lift is a procedure that makes an incision below the eyebrow and lifts the drooping area like this.

Before surgery,

forehead wrinkles become more pronounced, and because you tend to frown, people may say you look harsh,

and as you keep making that expression, fatigue can build up and there may be other discomforts.

After surgery,

many people are happy because these issues disappear completely.

Cases of satisfaction after an eyebrow lift

Also, in the case of an eyebrow lift,

for people with thicker eyebrows or eyebrow tattoos, the incision scar is less noticeable, so satisfaction after surgery is higher.

People who originally had double eyelids but whose outer part drooped and became covered also tend to be very satisfied after surgery.

For those who were told they had large, open, and pretty double eyelids when they were younger,

Double-eyelid surgery is usually done on the inner side of the eye, so it is a bit insufficient for addressing drooping on the outer side,

and since eyelid drooping is more noticeable on the outer side, an eyebrow lift is good for solving outer-side drooping.

Is a forehead lift also necessary?

Then when is a forehead lift needed?

As ptosis worsens and brow ptosis becomes more severe, the eyes droop further and further,

and at that point, a forehead lift or eyebrow lift becomes necessary.

When the distance between the eyebrows and the eyes becomes about 10 mm or less, it can be considered severe brow ptosis,

and in such cases, a forehead lift is often necessary.

By performing a forehead lift, space is secured between the eyes and the eyebrows,

and within that newly secured space, double-eyelid surgery and then an eyebrow lift may be performed, with additional procedures added if needed.

To summarize,

combining these three procedures—forehead lift, eyebrow lift, and double-eyelid surgery—
