Hello, this is Merry Plastic Surgery Clinic, nice to meet you.
As the weather gets hotter, we put together some ways to help protect your skin health in summer.
When the sun is strong and outdoor activities increase, skin can be easily irritated and damaged.
In summer, when there are more factors threatening skin health, such as ultraviolet rays, sweat, humidity, and fine dust,
it is important to know and practice the right skin care methods in advance.

Based on health information from the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, we have organized practical rules for protecting skin health in summer.
Five Rules for Summer Skin Health
- Sun protection is the most basic of basics
-
Before going out, apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher and PA++ or higher,
-
Reapply every 2 to 3 hours after going out
-
Also use physical protection such as hats, parasols, and sunglasses.
-
Even on cloudy days, UV rays are present, so sunscreen is always essential.

- Managing sweat and sebum
-
Leaving sweat on the skin for too long can cause skin troubles and pimples.
-
After going out, wash thoroughly with lukewarm water
-
Be careful, as excessive cleansing can damage the skin barrier instead!
-
Don't forget to keep your skin moisturized with a fast-absorbing moisturizing cream. Soothing gels may contain alcohol ingredients that can irritate the skin.

- Smart moisturizing is the key to summer skin
-
Skin can easily become dry indoors where air conditioning is used a lot.
-
Maintain skin balance by frequently reapplying light, gel-type products focused on hydration
-
It is important to apply moisturizer within 3 minutes after showering to reduce moisture loss.
- Lifestyle rules for summer skin
-
Drink enough water! At least 6 to 8 glasses a day
-
Avoid oily and irritating foods, and eat vegetables and fruits rich in vitamins A, C, and E
-
For skin exposed to UV rays, soothing care such as aloe gel and green tea packs can also be effective.
- What if something goes wrong with your skin like this?
-
Sun allergies, burns, and heat rash can occur.
-
If your skin turns red, becomes itchy, or develops blisters, it is best to visit a clinic or hospital right away.
-
Use soothing care based on medically proven methods rather than folk remedies
Summer skin care,
is essential for preventing aging.
Summer skin care is not optional; it is essential.
Because stronger UV rays and high humidity can speed up skin aging,
don't miss the three-part routine of UV protection + moisturizing + lifestyle management.
Most importantly, please remember that skin does not improve overnight, but is the result of consistent care built up over time.
