Hello, this is Merry Plastic Surgery Clinic, glad to meet you.
Do you really have to wait one year for revision rhinoplasty? We get asked this very often.

My nose has become hard because of contracture. I want revision surgery right away, but you’re telling me to wait a whole year?
I’m unhappy with the surgical result, but how long do I have to wait?
I feel so upset every time I look in the mirror. Is there any solution?
I completely understand the desire to recover quickly when a contracted nose has become hard.
Did you know that a contracted nose is not just a scar issue, but a problem that requires recovery of skin elasticity?
The real reason you have to wait before revision rhinoplasty is the “skin”
Revision rhinoplasty is not simply the process of removing an implant and putting in another one.
Especially when “contracture” has occurred.
What is a contracted nose?

First, the definition is:
This is a condition in which excessive scar tissue (capsule) forms around an implant such as silicone, causing the nose to become firm, shortened, and lifted.
In this contracted state, the skin’s lack of flexibility becomes as much of an obstacle to surgery as the hard scar tissue itself.
Because skin is tissue that cannot be removed or replaced, a sufficient recovery period is usually needed (typically 6 months to more than 1 year).
The solution that came from trying to find a way to shorten this recovery period is the Malangi Injection.
If you can’t wait 6 months or a year, consider an injection treatment that helps the skin recover.
What is the Malangi Injection, a regenerative injection?
The Malangi Injection (Merry nasal regenerative injection)
It is a tissue-regenerating injection designed to restore hard, contracted nasal skin to a softer state.
After the injection, skin flexibility improves, making surgery possible sooner and improving revision surgery results as well.
What ingredients is it made of?
-
PRP (platelet-rich plasma): helps with growth factors and tissue regeneration
-
PN (polynucleotide): helps regenerate damaged skin
-
PDRN and other key ingredients that help restore skin elasticity
-
Customized blending and treatment according to the patient’s condition

In many cases, the skin becomes softer after just 1 to 2 treatments,
and on average, 3 to 5 treatments at 3-week intervals are most recommended.

Malangi Injection checklist
For those whose nose has become hard due to contracture
For those who want revision rhinoplasty right away but are only being told to wait at the hospital
For those who were told that surgery is difficult because the skin is thin and does not stretch well
For those who want to achieve the best possible surgical result
If you receive the Malangi Injection, the hardened skin can become softer, allowing the surgery timing to be advanced much sooner.
Since the skin needs to stretch in order to properly use better cartilage, the effectiveness of the surgery is ultimately greatly maximized.
There are likely many people who keep searching only for keywords like contracted nose, pig nose, or upturned nose while waiting for the day of revision rhinoplasty. The more you search, the more worries pile up and the more exhausted you become, but rather than simply letting time pass, there is now a way to prepare the skin first.
At Merry Plastic Surgery Clinic, we take an approach focused not just on simple revision rhinoplasty, but on reconstruction and recovery tailored to each patient’s condition.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask in the blog comments or during an in-person consultation. We’ll think through a recovery plan that suits you together.
This has been Merry Plastic Surgery Clinic, glad to meet you.
