Underarm bromhidrosis refers to a condition in which an abnormality in the sweat glands in the underarm area causes a distinctive odor. It is related to sweat glands called apocrine glands.

These sweat glands secrete fatty acids and organic substances together, and when they combine with bacteria on the skin surface, they create an unpleasant odor.
