Uneven eyes and asymmetrical eyes can be corrected with Wink Plastic Surgery’s eye asymmetry correction!

At Wink Plastic Surgery, “asymmetrical eyes” refers to cases where the shape of the eyes differs because of differences in double eyelid height or the horizontal and vertical size of the eyes. It is impossible for both eyes to have 100% identical shape and size. However, if the difference in eye size or whether or not there is a double eyelid is clearly noticeable, it can disrupt the balance of the entire face, so it is best to correct the asymmetry.

The correction method for asymmetrical eyes varies depending on the cause. If the amount of visible iris exposure differs between the two eyes, eye shape correction is used. If the amount of visible iris exposure is similar but only the double eyelid size differs, symmetry can be achieved with double eyelid correction alone. For differences in eyelid hollowness, fat grafting to the upper eyelid is used. If the double eyelid heights are different, the existing line is released, then a new line is created according to the desired line and corrected accordingly.

Wink Plastic Surgery recommends eye asymmetry correction in the following cases: 1. when the strength of eyelid opening differs between the two eyes, 2. when a double eyelid line exists only on one side, or 3. when the line is asymmetrical after eye surgery.

Because eye surgery can change a person’s impression with a difference as small as 0.1 mm, it requires delicate technique. At Wink Plastic Surgery, each person’s type of eye asymmetry and the exact cause are analyzed, and the appropriate surgery is recommended.

Chief Director Choi Seung-hyeop of Wink Plastic Surgery provides 1:1 care from consultation to surgery and aftercare without proxy surgery, and never recommends excessive or unnecessary procedures.
