If your eye look has felt heavy because of thick “sausage eyes” (double eyelid hypertrophy), try WINK Plastic Surgery’s two-stitch eye revision surgery to create a more favorable image!

Two-stitch eye revision surgery releases the adhesion of the existing line without removing skin, makes it as inconspicuous as possible, and then creates an additional line. The new line then becomes lighter as it heals sufficiently.

Among eye revision surgeries, the two-stitch method is highly difficult, so it must be chosen carefully. Since each person has a different eye shape, image, and set of characteristics, it is important to analyze the cause of the first surgery failure accurately before proceeding.

Also, because a new line is created after bringing the area as close as possible to its pre-surgery state, there is less concern about a double-fold scar or overlapping double eyelids.

Eye surgery can change the impression due to even subtle differences, so it requires delicate technique. It is necessary to analyze the exact cause, such as each person’s eyelid thickness, the amount of fat in the upper eyelid, and uneven eyes, and then establish an appropriate surgical plan.

Two-stitch eye revision surgery is suitable when you want to lower a double eyelid line that is high and has deep scarring, as in double eyelid hypertrophy (sausage eyes), or when you want to change the front part from an outer line to an inner line.

It is also recommended to perform eye revision surgery at least 6 months to 1 year later, after the postoperative scars and tissues have stabilized and after identifying your condition and the cause.

For a natural eye look, the existing double eyelid line is released and a new line is created below the original one. To prevent recurrence of adhesions, fat repositioning or fat grafting may be necessary, so consulting with a specialist is important.

If the pupil is covered, the eyes can look sleepy, so we create an ideal eye shape with 80–90% of the black of the eye visible. At WINK Plastic Surgery, surgeries are performed after accurately analyzing the condition of the eyes through a one-doctor treatment system.

Dr. Choi Seung-hyeop, the head surgeon at WINK Plastic Surgery, personally provides one-on-one care from consultation to surgery and aftercare, without any proxy surgery, and never recommends excessive or unnecessary procedures.
