Double eyelid surgery left you with a double fold? Fix it neatly with revision surgery for double folds at Wink Plastic Surgery!

A double fold refers to a case where another line forms in addition to the line created after double eyelid surgery. It often occurs in protruding eyes, eyes with thin and sagging eyelids, and eyes with little fat and ptosis.

Double folds are not caused by weak fixation from double eyelid surgery, so it is essential to identify the correct cause. Simply making the fixation stronger can create a deep, prominent double eyelid and may cause the eyelashes to turn inward, so it is important to accurately assess each person’s eye condition and find the improvement method that suits it.

Revision surgery for double folds is suitable for eyes that are protruding, eyes with thin and sagging eyelid skin, and cases with little eye fat and ptosis.

When the skin is thin, sagging of the skin is also present, so the excess skin should be appropriately removed. If ptosis is present, a hollowed look above the eyes may occur, so it is better to proceed together with ptosis correction. Also, if there is little eye fat, the existing fat inside the eye should be repositioned before performing the surgery.

For double folds, the important thing is to clearly identify the cause as a structural issue with the eye, not a problem with the line fixation. It is important to proceed with the exact surgical method suited to each person’s eye shape.
