Hello. This is Woori Plastic Surgery.
Today, we’d like to talk about one of the questions people considering liposuction ask most often: “Will I actually see results if I have surgery?” Let’s look at the things you should check so you don’t regret the cost of abdominal liposuction.
Amount of fat

Liposuction is not simply about removing fat; the results can vary depending on several factors. When considering the cost of abdominal liposuction, the more fat there is, the more noticeable the effect can be. However, you can’t forcefully create fat where there is none and remove it. That is why it is important to know how much fat you have in your body. One easy way to check is the pinch test.
The pinch test is a simple method of pinching the skin with your hand. If it can be pinched thinly, there is relatively little fat; if it can be pinched thickly, there is relatively more fat. For example, it is easy to understand by thinking of the difference between the back of the hand, which can be pinched thinly, and the inner thigh, which can be pinched more thickly.
Skin elasticity

The better the skin elasticity, the smoother and more refined the line will look even after the same amount of fat is removed. Even if elasticity is somewhat lacking, there may be some improvement after surgery, but if the skin is severely sagging or there are many stretch marks, the results may be limited.
Shape of the muscles and fascia

After the fat is removed, the shape of the underlying muscles or fascia will eventually become visible. People with more muscle mass may appear firmer after liposuction, but if the fascia is significantly stretched, the results may not be as expected. The most accurate way to check this, along with the cost of abdominal liposuction, is through a consultation with a specialist.

To avoid regretting the cost of abdominal liposuction, if you have enough fat, your skin elasticity is maintained to some extent, and your muscles and fascia are supportive, you can definitely see a noticeable change. Of course, because there are large individual differences, it is safest to do a simple check at home and make sure to confirm an accurate diagnosis through a hospital consultation.
