Hello. This is Woori Plastic Surgery.
Last time, I shared information about facial liposuction and fat grafting. Today, we’ll take a look at the effects of upper-body liposuction, which many people are curious about. Let’s go through, one by one, how liposuction and fat grafting can be used for each area.
Arm liposuction

The upper arms are the area that many people think of first. Even with full-body dieting, fat on the back of the arms is often hard to lose, which concerns many people. In particular, the bulge on the back side can make the body look fuller than it actually is. In cases like this, arm liposuction can help refine the line and create a much slimmer, more attractive arm contour.
Underarm liposuction

The underarm area can be divided into the front and back. The front area, where accessory breast tissue is present, is a concern when wearing swimsuits or sleeveless tops, while the back area connects to the upper arm and can make the shoulders look thicker. Both areas can be improved with liposuction. In particular, when performed together with upper-arm liposuction, it can complete a much slimmer upper-body line.
Chest fat grafting

A procedure often considered along with upper-body liposuction is chest fat grafting. People who undergo large-volume liposuction often say, “It’s a waste, so please put it in my chest.” Of course, it is difficult to greatly increase the size through fat grafting alone, but it can add about half a cup to one cup of volume. It has a natural feel and, since it uses your own tissue, it is considered relatively safe, which is why it is one of the more popular procedures.
Back liposuction

The back is not usually an area where a lot of fat accumulates, but when fat does build up, it can look uneven above and below the bra line, or the skin may appear saggy.
In cases like this, back liposuction can create a cleaner contour, allowing you to see the effects of upper-body liposuction.
For upper-body liposuction to be effective, the key is not simply reducing fat, but removing unnecessary fat and adding fat to the areas that need it. When upper-body liposuction is used well, it can create a much more balanced and smooth silhouette.
📌 Upper arms → Slim, smooth arm line
📌 Underarms → Confident in sleeveless tops/swimsuits
📌 Chest fat grafting → Naturally fuller volume
📌 Back → Refined bra line, slimmer back view
