Hello, this is Woori Plastic Surgery.
Today, I want to organize the fixation methods that are asked about very often in forehead lifts. I’ve said that in forehead lift reviews, the range of dissection is much more important, but that does not mean the fixation method is unimportant at all! Fixation has a major impact on the stability and durability of forehead lift results. The fixation methods used in forehead lifts are broadly divided into two types.
Endotine

Endotine is a special fixation material produced only by a company called TRM, and Woori Plastic Surgery is an officially certified clinic because it uses Endotine frequently. When genuine Endotine is used, a genuine product card is provided to the patient, so please be sure to check this when having surgery.
The lower protrusions of Endotine anchor into the bone, and the upper protrusions press against the muscle, periosteum, and skin layer to hold them firmly in place. Endotine naturally dissolves and disappears after 3 to 6 months, and after that it is not palpable and there is very little foreign-body sensation. It also tends to make the surgery time relatively short. However, for people with thin skin, it may be palpable at the beginning, and because the material cost is high, it can be burdensome in terms of expense.
Bone tunneling

Bone tunneling is performed by making small holes in the outer layer of the forehead bone, passing sutures through them, and tying and lifting the periosteum, muscle, and skin layers to secure them. In the early stage, there is almost no palpable foreign-body sensation, and the cost burden is lower than with Endotine. However, when non-absorbable sutures are used, in very rare cases the sutures may become exposed over time, and the surgery takes about 10 to 20 minutes longer than with Endotine.
Which fixation method is better?

When looking at forehead lift reviews, which fixation method is better? The answer is that after a direct consultation, the safest option with the best results is the method recommended by the surgeon based on your facial structure and skin thickness. There are too many variables to decide based only on YouTube or reviews. The most accurate forehead lift surgical plan is one customized to factors such as facial structure, skin thickness, the shape of the forehead bone, and the extent of lifting needed.
Today, we compared two fixation methods commonly used in forehead lift reviews. Each has clear advantages and disadvantages, so in the end, the key is choosing the fixation that suits your own face.
