<Mom Was Pretty>, in which Dr. Bae In-ho, the CEO of AB Plastic Surgery, participated as the attending physician,

had its first broadcast.

For that grand first episode, the Cheonan Mom segment! As AB Plastic Surgery joined as part of the doctor team,

our feelings about the first episode are especially meaningful.

The first episode’s star, Cheonan Mom, received a lot of attention and support for her changed appearance. Today, we will meet Dr. Bae In-ho, the CEO of AB Plastic Surgery and the attending physician for <Mom Was Pretty>, and introduce in detail how she changed and what was done.

Shall we begin now?

First, at AB Plastic Surgery, Cheonan Mom’s solution was considered as follows.

"Let’s add the kind of beauty that is needed for a mother in a way suited to her age."

The goal was a middle-aged plastic surgery plan that would not make the eyes look unnaturally larger than appropriate for her age, would not make the face look too tight or unnatural, and would overall create a natural, beautiful appearance suited to her age.

Next, Cheonan Mom’s issues and improvement points were divided into three categories.

1. Improvement of eye discomfort and asymmetry

2. Improvement of facial sagging caused by aging

3. Improvement of insufficient facial volume

The surgical plan for Cheonan Mom was established by dividing it into these three parts.

1 - Improvement of eye discomfort and asymmetry

Cheonan Mom had been complaining of eye asymmetry and difficulty opening her eyes, so to address this, the size of the double eyelids was adjusted, and a blepharoplasty to remove some of the sagging skin was performed. In addition, a forehead lift was performed together to improve the drooping at the outer corners of the eyes, helping relieve skin problems caused by irritated eyelids and symptoms of eye discharge.

Also, because the eye width was narrow and the outer corners were sharply upturned, a lateral canthoplasty + lower canthoplasty were performed together to correct this.

As a result, comparing the before-and-after photos, the amount of visible white and black of the eyes increased overall, and the direction of the eyes became longer from a diagonal shape to a more horizontal one, showing an improved, softer impression.

2 - Improvement of facial sagging caused by aging

Although the sagging was not very severe for her age, her face was relatively wide, so if lifting were performed too strongly, the face could look even wider. For that reason, a face-lift was performed with the incision minimized only around the area in front of the ears.

As a result, the sagging along the lower face was improved, and the pear-shaped face line was transformed into a V or U shape.

3 - Improvement of insufficient facial volume

To improve the volume that had been lost due to aging in the front cheekbones, nasolabial area, and forehead, fat grafting was performed. In the case of the nasolabial folds, the hollowness was especially severe, and after fat grafting, there is a drawback that the grafted fat tends to diminish quickly, so a silicone implant plan was also carried out to help maintain the volume for a longer period.

With such a detailed, customized surgical plan, Cheonan Mom, the star of episode 1 of <Mom Was Pretty>, was transformed into a new impression! We are even more looking forward to Cheonan Mom’s bright future ahead.
