Hello, this is AB Plastic Surgery :)
Today, let’s learn about thread lifting.

A: There is no age at which thread lifting has no effect, but the age range where it can be said to be more effective is the 30s to 40s.
This is because thread lifting works better when the skin still has elasticity, so people in their 30s and 40s can be said to see greater effects from thread lifting than people in their 50s or older, whose wrinkles have become deeper.
If older people undergo thread lifting to smooth out deep wrinkles, the threads may come loose easily in some cases, or the threads may not hold well because the skin lacks elasticity.
For that reason, in terms of how long the results last, younger people can be said to have a longer maintenance period than older people.

A: If someone with a lot of facial fat undergoes thread lifting, the skin is pulled upward and the fat moves up with it, so the face may actually look more swollen.
Also, even after the procedure, if there is a lot of fat and the face becomes heavy, it can quickly sag again even if it is fixed with threads.
Conversely, when very thin people undergo thread lifting, the skin may appear folded.
Because there is not much fat, the threads cannot be inserted deeply, so they must be placed more superficially, which can increase the likelihood of uneven contours.
As a result, thread lifting can be said to be suitable for people with a moderate amount of facial fat.

A: The areas where thread lifting can be effective include the nasolabial folds, cheek contour line, and neck, but among these, the area that can be said to work best is the contour line.
Although it depends on the characteristics of the skin, the type and number of threads, the outer contour line rather than the inner part of the face shows clearer results and tends to last relatively longer.
The inner part of the face moves a lot, and there are also limitations on thread fixation, so compared with the outer side, there is a higher chance that the threads will loosen.

A. There is no one for whom thread lifting has no effect.
However, the efficiency of the procedure can vary depending on skin type.
Even if the same type of thread and the same number of threads are used, some skin is easier to lift than others.
When you pinch and pull the skin by hand, a thin skin type that stretches easily has thinner and looser skin tissue, so the barbs on the threads do not catch well, and the efficiency can be relatively lower.

A. The maintenance period of thread lifting can vary depending on several factors, but based on statistical figures, the average maintenance period can be considered about 6 months to 1 year.
Therefore, it is more recommended for people who want a short-term lifting effect of about one year rather than those seeking a long-term lifting purpose.
