Hello, this is AB Plastic Surgery :)
Today, together with Director Bae In-ho,
let’s learn about the mini lift!

The first difference between a mini lift and a facelift is
that the incision is shorter.
Second, the dissection range is not wide.
In a typical facelift, the dissection range is naturally bound to be wide.
Because the dissection is performed to lift the midface and down to the lower neck,
the overall dissection area becomes wide,
whereas in a mini lift, the main targets are the jawline and jowls, so the dissection range is
relatively limited, which has the advantage of less bruising and swelling.
However, compared with a facelift, the areas that can be lifted are somewhat different.

It is most effective when lifting the jawline, including the jowls,
and if you want to lift the nasolabial folds, the incision needs to extend further upward,
so the effect may be somewhat less.
In the case of the neck as well, the dissection has to be done more widely and the incision needs to be addressed behind the ear,
so it may feel somewhat insufficient.
Therefore, it is mainly most effective for improving sagging along the jawline,
and there may be some limitations for neck concerns and nasolabial folds.

A mini lift does not mean that nasolabial folds or neck sagging cannot be addressed at all;
by making the incision slightly longer or combining it with other procedures, the effect can be increased.
In the case of a mini lift, compared with a classic facelift,
the dissection range and incision area are smaller, so there are some limitations in the areas that can be lifted,
but if the surgery is performed by appropriately combining procedures such as fat grafting or facial liposuction,
a good result can be enhanced, and swelling may be relatively less.
Also, the risk of bleeding or nerve damage is very low.
Today, we learned about the mini lift.
