Q. How have you been doing since the surgery?

I was happy every moment.

The first thing I did when I woke up was look in the mirror,

and then I kept thinking, "Ah, I really have changed," and I looked in the mirror all day.

I think I looked in the mirror more in one day than I had ever looked in my whole life.

I’d look at myself with a small hand mirror at home...

My children even said, "Mom, you really look like a mirror princess."

I kept looking in the mirror so much that they eventually told me to stop,

to the point where I even got annoyed later,

but as I watched my appearance change day by day,

I spent such a happy time.

Q. How did your family and people around you react after the surgery?

I have three daughters. At first, they just casually said, "Mom is pretty."

But now they say it in a way that is not quite jealousy, not quite irritation.

"Mom, you’ve become so pretty that now you look like my older sister."

"If we go out together now, people might think you’re my sister."

They say that a lot,

and when the family, all four of us, take a photo together,

with a little exaggeration, I look the youngest.

That’s how it is these days.

Q. What would you say changed the most after the surgery?

The before-and-after photos are about to come out,

and at first, everything was sagging.

My mood itself was sagging, and my overall tone was down, if I had to put it that way.

But after the surgery, when I looked at myself in the mirror,

everything seemed lifted upward.

The corners of my mouth were lifted, my eyes were lifted, and because of that, my heart itself felt like it was floating upward.

So I felt very strongly that my inner self had been lifted as well,

and I notice that there is much more energy in the way I speak and that my tone has become much brighter.

Q. A message for mothers of the same age

I think mothers all over the world are probably the same.

The love for their children comes first, and that feeling must be very strong.

I, too, have lived up to now with my heart devoted to my children.

But what I felt while filming this time

was that it was a gift given entirely to me.

I left the kids behind and received all the spotlight just for myself,

and since everything was done only for me, happiness was truly the right word.

Ah, I was once like this too, when I was young and pretty.

The years I’ve lived have really been buried away.

That made me shed a lot of tears.

What I really want to say to mothers is this:

I want to tell you that it’s not too late. It’s still not too late,

and now that the children are grown to some extent, I hope this becomes a chance to look back at yourself

and a moment to find yourself again.

Even if you can’t have plastic surgery, through makeup or other means,

wouldn’t it be nice to reset yourself once, or to change yourself a little?

I definitely think that way.

Q. How did you feel on the day of the surgery?

I was going into the operating room to have my eyes and nose done.

Right before I was about to fall into deep sleep while having surgery on my eyes and nose,

I said something to the director unconsciously.

I said, "Director, I’m really happy."

Then I remember tears just pouring down.

And I also said, "Thank you so much."

Then the director said,

"Are you happy? I hope that from now on, there will only be truly happy things and only reasons to smile."

"I’ll make you look really beautiful. I’ll do my best to make it as natural as possible,

so that I can express you exactly as you are, mother."

As that happened, my eyes closed on their own,

and when I woke up, I had changed into a beautiful appearance.

So rather than pain, happiness was greater,

and rather than being scared, I think I visited the plastic surgery clinic with a joyful 마음.
