Hello, this is AB Plastic Surgery.
Today, let’s look at the method and effects of addressing under-eye fat.

If the skin tone is dark and the area is actually pigmented, it is difficult to improve with surgery,
and dermatology procedures are needed.
There are two other cases caused by under-eye fat.
First, when the skin and muscle are close together, the muscle can show through and make the area look dark.
There is fat behind the muscle, and if there is a lot of fat, it gets pushed from behind and becomes tightly attached.
If the skin is thin, the muscle may show through and appear dark.

Second, when the under-eye fat is prominent, the area below the bulge can cast a shadow and look dark.

If too much of the fat at the back is concentrated in one place,
this is a method that opens the membrane and redistributes it downward.
It reduces the darkness caused by the concentrated fat being pushed forward
and also reduces the shadowing caused by protrusion.
This is especially effective for people whose under-eye area looks dark or feels protruded.
The surgery method accesses the area through the conjunctiva inside the eye, so there is no visible skin scar,
and the fat is found from the inside and redistributed evenly.

The recovery period usually involves some bruising and swelling for about the first week,
and although it varies by person, most people recover within a week.
There are no special care methods, but if you do exercises that significantly raise pressure in the face,
there is a risk that the blood vessels that were sealed for hemostasis may burst, which can worsen bruising.
Swelling may also return, so it is best to avoid excessive activity.
Today, we looked at under-eye fat repositioning.
If you are concerned about dark circles, we recommend visiting the clinic
and receiving a consultation.
