Hello, this is AB Plastic Surgery :)
Today, we’ll take a look at eyes that suit an out line.

When you look at Western eyes, the brow bone is more developed, so the eyes can be seen as relatively deep-set.
Also, the eyelid skin is generally thin and there is little fat overall, so there is no epicanthic fold in front, giving the eyes a long and refreshing impression.
In contrast, when you look at East Asian eyes, the brow bone is relatively less developed, so the eyes appear more prominent, and the skin is thicker with more fat around the eyes.
Because of that, there are many factors that interfere with creating a double eyelid, and the epicanthic fold can make the eyes look sharp and somewhat closed-in overall.
Because of these features, for East Asians, an in-line naturally tends to suit best, but that does not mean an out line is impossible.
If the epicanthic fold is opened up and a double eyelid line is created, an out line is certainly possible.
However, if a high out line is created while ignoring individual features, there is a possibility of ending up with so-called sausage eyes.

For example, celebrities like So Ji-sub and TWICE’s Jihyo have no epicanthic fold, so the conditions are in place for the style to suit them well.
No, not necessarily.
If opening the epicanthic fold makes the eyes look too close together, then the balance of the eyes is off, so it does not suit well.
That is why it can be difficult for an out line to suit East Asian eyes.
Facial balance is also an important point.
If the bone structure is more Western, an out line may suit well, but if you have prominent cheekbones, an epicanthic fold, and a low nasal bridge, then you should think of it as difficult for an out line to suit you.

I mentioned that most people in Korea have an epicanthic fold, and that in order to create a pretty out line, an inner corner incision is needed, but it is not required!
Even if there is an epicanthic fold, if the skin is thin or the fold is weak, a beautiful out line can be formed without an inner corner incision.
The surest way to find out whether your eyes suit an out line or whether an inner corner incision is needed is to consult a specialist and design the double eyelid line in advance.
Today, we looked into the out line.
It is good to create the double eyelid line you want, but the most important thing is finding the line that suits you best.
