Many people think that the “under-eye fat repositioning” procedure is a surgery performed when the area under the eyes looks bulgy due to under-eye fat.

That is not entirely wrong, but to explain it more precisely,

it can be considered a very effective procedure when there is almost no skin sagging or wrinkles, but the under-eye fat is protruding.

Some people also wonder how it differs from lower blepharoplasty.

It may be easier to understand if you think of lower blepharoplasty as a broader category that includes under-eye fat repositioning.

If the problem is under-eye wrinkles or sagging under the eyes, under-eye fat repositioning is not the right procedure.

Under-eye fat repositioning is a procedure in which the inner conjunctiva of the eye is incised without making a skin incision,

some of the protruding fat is removed, and then moved to the sunken area.

Many people compare it with lower blepharoplasty, but under-eye fat repositioning is relatively simple and has a shorter recovery period.

That is why you must choose a procedure that matches your own eye area.

Many people probably think of under-eye fat repositioning as a simple procedure.

Compared to lower blepharoplasty, which is often compared with under-eye fat repositioning, it is true that it is a simpler procedure,

but because the structure around the under-eye area is complex, it is important not to think of it as too simple.

Of course, the reason I am saying this is not to say that the surgery is dangerous or difficult,

but to explain that if you undergo only under-eye fat repositioning without considering the conditions around your eyes at all,

you may end up with an undesirable result that does not match the ideal eyes you had in mind.

Because there are cases where lower blepharoplasty is needed instead of under-eye fat repositioning,

it is necessary not to insist on under-eye fat repositioning alone.
