Hello, this is AB Plastic Surgery!
Today, let’s look at rhinoplasty for a male hump nose and surgery for rhinitis.

A hump nose refers to a nose shape that, like a hawk’s beak, is curved so that the bridge of the nose protrudes prominently, or
the tip of the nose droops downward.
It can be either short or long, but a hump nose of this type usually gives a rather strong impression.
It also often stands out without harmonizing well with the overall face shape or the eyes, which can be a concern.

In some cases, this nose shape is congenital, but after injuring the nose area in childhood,
part of the nasal bridge bone may grow excessively and become deformed,
or it may change as the nose tip droops with aging.
It can also form due to cartilage problems inside the nose during the growth process, and in such cases, rhinitis is often accompanied.

When the septum, the cartilage between the nasal passages, or the supporting lateral cartilages become enlarged or bent due to deformity,
the inner nasal mucosa can be easily irritated, causing rhinitis symptoms severe enough to interfere with daily life, such as runny nose, coughing, and headaches.

For those who are concerned about this, injections such as fillers or thread lifting are sometimes used to correct the shape, but they are ultimately not permanent.
In addition, there are limits to the existing nose length or height when it comes to shape, so it is difficult to achieve complete improvement.
Another major limitation is that rhinitis symptoms caused by the internal structure also continue.
So, is it possible to improve both a beautiful nose shape and rhinitis with surgery at the same time? Of course, it is possible.
If the "functional surgery" that corrects the structural cause inside and the "cosmetic surgery" that improves the appearance are performed together,
you can have a nose that is both easier to breathe through and more attractive, satisfying both the inside and outside.
First, for "rhinitis" caused by structural issues, improving a deviated septum or enlarged turbinates caused by irritation through functional rhinoplasty can help address recurring rhinitis.
And for the "appearance," the protruding bridge or the white area of the nasal bridge can be corrected,
and while considering the proper length of the nose, the drooping tip can be firmly raised to create a new, refined nose line that suits the face shape.
Depending on the nasal bridge, surgery may be performed without an implant using only autologous tissue, or with an implant using silicone.
On our clinic website, you can see before-and-after photos of these surgeries,
allowing you to compare the improved surgical results directly.
Rather than worrying any longer, why not consult with a specialist and get a stylish nose that makes breathing easier?
Thank you.
