A. The key to male double eyelid surgery is making sure it does not.

The most important point in male eye surgery is to create eyes that look bigger and clearer, but not overly feminine.

Male and female eye surgery should be approached from slightly different perspectives. Women can use makeup to make their eyes look larger, and asymmetry or scars can be corrected or covered to some extent with makeup. However, men are often not used to makeup, and socially, a man with heavy makeup may not feel familiar or natural. So right after surgery, the original look should still appear natural and pleasing, and it is important to perform the surgery with that in mind.

These days, more people prefer eyes without a prominent double eyelid line or with a subtle inner double eyelid rather than a deep double eyelid in men. If the double eyelid line looks thick and obvious even when the eyes are open, it can give a feminine impression. That is why, when performing eye surgery for men, the double eyelid line is usually designed to be thin. Strictly speaking, eye surgery does not create a completely single eyelid or remove the double eyelid entirely; rather, it creates a subtle inner double eyelid that looks like a single eyelid. By making the double eyelid line very thin, the goal is to produce an inner double eyelid that is barely visible when the eyes are open, or at most a very faint line. That is male eye surgery.

Many celebrities whose eyes you think are single eyelids actually have subtle inner double eyelids. Since it is not common to take photos with sleepy, half-open eyes, try checking a video slowly. In many cases, you will notice a very thin double eyelid line briefly appearing as the eyes close and open.
